    The high-mileage versus low-mileage argument

I do not mind vehicles with all highway mileage. They are excellent value and because they are on the road so often, they are usually maintained better than those that see major Canadian winters/summers in the city: potholes, severe salt, parking lots, dents, dings, etc. If you have a full...

For a complete Re and Re...that's a very fair price. Make sure it includes all fluids and your are golden.

    Competitor to Michelin defender??????

The closest thing to the Defender's are the Cooper CS4 Touring in the T-speed rating. They are rated at a UTQG of 780, Traction A, and Temperature A. I had them on a 2003 Chevrolet Impala LS 3800 that lasted 138,000kms of 60/40 highway/city and Canadian winter driving and they were very quiet...

    Wagner Quick Stop brakes??

Then of course, you need to buy either Wagner or Raybestos aftermarket brake parts because OE is usually garbage compared to what I have used and seen in the many vehicles I have owned.

    Chevy Colorado - Amsoil ASL 5W-30 - 16,300km

Your truck looks like it is running nicely on Amsoil. I wonder if my father-in-law's '06 Colorado 3.5 Z71 would react this nicely to the 5W30 Amsoil you are running - given the obvious success this oil is giving you. Keep up the good work!

Why arent we recycling/re refining more oil?

I have used Safety-Kleen's EcoPower that is available here in Nepean on Bentley Ave. I have used EcoPower in various vehicles (03 Impala 3800, 03 Corolla, 05 TSX, etc, etc, etc) as well as several smaller engines such as 6.5 and 10.5 Tecumseh's, 25.2 V-Twins and 63.8tq (21.3hp) diesels that I...

Anyone use Valvoline MaxLife ATF in their PS?

Thanks guys, loving the comments. Decided that after talking with a rep from Valvoline and the experiences I have had with Valvoline Maxlife - look at my previous posts and vehicles I use it in - that this is the best choice for me. Did a nice flush this morning and it actually solved my clunk...

To DRL or not to DRL...

As a Canadian, DRL's are mandatory from all manufacturers. I love them and will always love them. My Grand Prix DRL's are my front turn signals, which are a 3757NA but my Magnum are my 9005 Highbeams.

Your favorite non-OEM halogen headlight bulb?

For me, I use PIAA 4000K Xtreme White Plus 9005 and 9006's for both my Dodge Magnum and my Grand Prix. I do have a set in my stock of Sylvania XtraVision regular halogens for both vehicles and I do prefer the Sylvania regular bulbs for my turn signals and for the Grand Prix's DRL's.
