True but most cars don’t have oil coolers .
My gmc does have an oem oil cooler, but I noticed oil pressure drops slightly after off roading or high speeds like 110 mph .
even with 5w30 let alone 20w50 .
Thick oil keeps the oil pressure where i like it.

most car manufacturers list low speed driving as severe service unlike highway driving which can rack up miles on the car faster than city driving.
some oil change intervals can go by hours instead of mileage which goes against your point .
I have the 2.73 rear end on my panther and it gets 24 mpg at 90 mph, almost as good as my brothers 4 cylinder camry lol.
These cars are really strong and cheap to fix,plenty of parts new or from the junkyard.

Its a common issue for the taurus.
Water pumps have a high failure rate on these cars , they always leak first so you have time to fix it before it overheats
