I have had mechanics here in New York I would overhear telling someone they legally cannot allow your vehicle back on the road. I’ve always wondered how that works, if that’s even legal. I would think they wouldn’t have a choice, they should have you sign a disclaimer and let you go.

I went back and forth today about the simplicity of changing the lines with hoses and the coolant Y. But the way i feel lately, it’s worth the $800 for piece of mind, time, physical pain, etc.

would a hose clamp hold that temporarily? I planned on doing the 1/2" transmission line fix but the way this thing is starting to seep, I might take to the dealer. With this weather here in central NY, fixing it myself right now isn't in the cards.
