Upcoming 2022 Labor Day deals at Discount Tire/Americas Tire?

I asked this last year and it's probably time to ask again: does anyone know what the Labor Day promos will be for Discount Tire and America's Tire will be? Their Labor Day deals page isn't live yet but I know some people manage to get the info early...

    2021 Mercedes AMG C63S - 5k - factory fill rear diff 75w140

On the contrary, I believe the rear diff has an interval of 30k.

    2021 Mercedes AMG C63S - 5k miles - factory fill

Must be the extra care that a hand-built engine gets! ;-)

    2021 Mercedes AMG C63S - 5k - factory fill rear diff 75w140

This is the first differential change that my 2021 Mercedes-AMG C63S sedan has received. The car has the hand-built 4.0L bi-turbo V8, engine code M177 (503hp). There's some conflicting information about whether or not these cars should get a special break-in diff fluid change. The AMG owner's...

    2021 Mercedes AMG C63S - 5k miles - factory fill

This is the first oil change that my 2021 Mercedes-AMG C63S sedan has received. The car has the hand-built 4.0L bi-turbo V8, engine code M177 (503hp). Unknown what the factory fill is, but probably the typical Mercedes 5w40 or something similar. Car had 3,000 miles on the clock when I bought it...

Amsoil / Redline in Corvette eLSD?

I had been using the OEM Dexron LS fluid and changing in accordance with GM's recommendation. UOAs usually came back fine other than high aluminum, fluid has always stayed in-grade. I've since switched to Motul Gear 300 LS since the car is pretty much now a track-only car -- has 60+ track days...

Who currently makes the OEM Mercedes transmission fluids?

I plan to use the OEM fluid and let the dealer do it. I was simply curious who the supplier was.

    MB 5W40 229.5 Supplier?

Other images of those bottles actually have the two oval indentations that Vaico also uses, curiously. Same story on the Mercedes-branded gear and transmission fluids. I was under the impression that Mobil 1 was the factory fill, but the bottles look nothing like any of Mobil's past or present...

    Who remembers Green GC 0w-30?

I remember it well, though I suspect it has long-since been surpassed by more modern formulations. I think at one point I had about 15 bottles of it but used it all up.

Who currently makes the OEM Mercedes transmission fluids?

The datasheets for the aftermarket products say it is not dyed, so probably a light golden color? Also, cool document, thanks for sharing. Does that file apply to the SPEEDSHIFT MCT version in my C63? As I understand it, there are a few versions of that transmission (the C43 gets the TCT...

Who currently makes the OEM Mercedes transmission fluids?

I've been looking at the bottles for the OEM Mercedes transmission fluids but don't recognize them. The gear oils are Castrol (they don't even relabel or rebrand them). Here is an example of the bottle, the OEM 236.17 ultra-low viscosity ATF "FE" for the Jatco 9-speeds. Given that the list of...

What is the OEM Mercedes oil these days? (new C63 owner)

What is the OEM Mercedes oil these days? (new C63 owner)

Correct, it says 229.5, a very similar spec to what the other German brands require (many oils with 299.5 approval also have the BMW and VW/Audi approvals). I was more curious about what the OEM oil is, as it doesn't appear to be a simple relabel of M1 0w40.

What is the OEM Mercedes oil these days? (new C63 owner)

Interesting as the MSDS shows some different figures versus the Mobil 1 published specs. Maybe they are tweaking it for Mercedes? The bottle is also different and it is made in Belgium.

    M177, which is the 4.0L biturbo V8 with 503hp.

What is the OEM Mercedes oil these days? (new C63 owner)

Traded in my truck for a 2021 Mercedes C63 S sedan, which will be my first-ever Mercedes. I've owned BMW and Audi in the past and am fairly familiar with the German uber sedans. :-) Who is making the OEM Mercedes oil? I see Mercedes is aligned with Mobil 1 and I believe this motor (M177)...

Least Aggressive A/T Tire for Mostly Highway Use or Stick With My All-Seasons

Literally going through this same process myself since my new F-150 has a set of trash Pirelli Scorpion ATRs on it. I barely take it off the pavement so for me, on-road characteristics are #1. I will likely end up with the Yoko Geolandar G015 or Continental TerrainContact A/T. Those seem to be...
