    Agree with wpod as when the pully bearing on my solid wood door failed , Fimble doors had what was needed. They were concerned about my abilities to handle the spring tension. This was a decade ago and now that I`m in my eighties someone else will do any future work.

    Why are some OEM parts only as remanufactured?

    Three years ago the only AC compressor we could find were rebuilt and the one we were replacing was a two year old rebuilt. Last year tried again and first vendor called had an NOS at the price of the rebuilts.

    On the fourth tank in the recent installation of an 6.2 LS in the 77 stepside and got 17.3 mpg. The original six averaged 14.6. Third tank was 16.8.

    Have a gallon can that was my dads from the mid fifties it`s more than half full. Used it in a Colman lantern when Horn Pout fishing. Still smells the same.

    95 GMC at 155500, Son had it first to tow a travel trailer. It`s a winter beater/dump tripper, stays out side and needs paint. Trans freshened at 140000 with a performance kit. Conventional oil for 93000 miles now high mile Castrol 5/30 at 3000/5000. Uses no oil but plenty of fuel. Went through...

    On a 2004 Trailblazer had two injectors fail 30000 miles apart. I only repair failed parts except for tires and plugs.

    With foam on top of oil isn't it likely air bubbles. Wouldn`t moisture be more uniform in the lubricant?

    New tires with older date code

    Had some Master Craft crack the sidewalls at 4 years old, complained about them and dealer prorated a new set. Nrxt day an ad in the paper had them on a season special for the same price. Need to check them in the AM as they are 3 years old now.

    An Aunt who passed 20 years ago had a mobile home and garage and shed loaded with stuff. Once we learned she hid cash in books, envelopes and jacket pockets we had to check everything.

    People saying to change your oil at 1000 miles on new vehicle.

    Mentioned to the salesman I`d be back in a 1,000 miles to have the oil changed in the then new 16 Equinox and he got riled and said do not do that, something about disaster. Made to 2,000 mi and had it done without any histrionics from the lube shop.
