Seems normal to me. On extremely hot days, or running it in a spirited fashion it will go higher.

I know that I do not like changing heater cores. I have done more than my share in my lifetime (mostly on other people's cars). Whatever reduces the chance of me having to replace a heater core is good maintenance in my experience.

I use the plastic tubing for ice maker water lines. Seems to work well. Just don't exceed working temp of line. Guessing 180F. Never had a problem, and it is inexpensive.

This happens on the C5 vettes. It is the horn contacts under the airbag module. As the foam the keeps the contacts apart deteriorates it does keep the contacts separated when not pushed. If the horn contacts are part of the airbag, that is where I would bet the issue is.

Now I don't feel so bad about using an aftermarket PCV in my `07 Accord 2.4, that I got from RockAuto, forgot the brand, but so far so good and that was years ago.

I want to run HPL just for bragging rights among my car friends. The reality is my cars will rust out before they wear out regardless of what oil I use.

I don't think they would have made it this far if they had any issues with their products. Top notch products for people looking for something better than they need. When my supply of Amsoil is done, I am considering HPL. But again, way better than I need.
