    Victory XC notchy shifting

I changed the oil last night to M1 20w50 and Fram Ultra XG7317. So far it shifts better than 15w40 T6 (even when fresh) and no clutch slippage as some Victory riders report with syn oils. But I only have about 50 miles on it so far. Should be putting about 200ish miles on tonight after work...

    1. I certainly agree! Though I haven't ridden many other cruisers I really like it. Not my preferred riding style as I like a more upright position, but this is easier and more comfy for the wife. She is short and had back surgery a few years back so I have the bike to suit both our needs...

Ya, brands get really picky about appearance and it can be very difficult when a dealer has multiple brands under one roof. I've heard really good things about the Scout, looks like a blast to ride and plenty of power but I would look ridiculous on one being 6ft and 240ish. haha Dang! Ya, it...

I have seen some positive reviews on this forum about the Mystic JT8. I prefer synthetic oils, however I know many bikes have zero issues over 100k on semi-syn oil as well. I think I'm going to try M1 20W-50 to see how that goes, maybe try the Mystic JT8 after that. I do want to try the...

Awesome!! Do you remember where you got that oil temp gauge at? Victory used to make one that was mechanical but unless I stumble upon a used one, they are impossible to find.

Thank you very much! I was curios if they formulated it more toward air cooled engines as well since they generally run higher oil temps. I've seen some reports of people claiming slightly cooler running temps using M1 20w-50 compared to their previous oil. But I feel like there are too many...

Ya, I was looking up specs on them a little while back. I was kinda surprised to see that too. I want to ride one, but don't at the same time since I'll probably want it. I'm not too keen on the style but my buddies dad in the owner of a BMW/KTM dealer (used to sell Victory and Polaris as well...

I know what your saying. It’s hard for a single oil to perform multiple tasks, especially when you take into account straight cut gears and high torque that easily causes shearing. But on the flip side, the majority of motorcycles on the road are shared sump. Look at all the 180+hp sports bikes...

It also makes me wonder if I just ride harder than most guys on cross country (came from a supermoto to this hog), the possible high temperatures with long ride times or a combo of both.

Mine does not have sight window, kinda wish it did. I suppose I was misspoken a bit there. My assumption is that if the anti-foaming agent is already degraded then I assume the oil is pretty degraded as well. Before changing the oil last week before my trip I had 20w-40 Victory oil...

So I drained the oil last night after warming the bike up. When I was draining the oil I noticed it was VERY foamy, which clearly indicates that it has broken down and sheared heavily. I won't be running T6 in my Victory again. Here's a couple photos of my oil pan. You can see the larger...

I don't mind Valvoline, but I do want to stick with something I can get locally just for ease of availability. I have seen the dino locally, but not syn. I have always preferred syn oils wherever I can use them. In my dirt bikes I have had very good luck with Honda GN4 10w-40, but that gets...

Went on a road trip last week from Iowa to Colorado and it was insanely hot! Bike is a 2012 Victory Cross Country. Anyways, I noticed about halfway through the trip (1750 mi in 4 days) that my shifting became very notchy feeling, especially on down shifts. This was the first time I had used...

New Toyota Land Cruiser Debuts with 409-HP 3.5L Twin-Turbo V-6

That is what I was referring to. However in my area there are a quite a bit of issues with the 8spd in GM pickups. My dad traded his after less than 2 years and around 15k when the 10spd came out. He normally keeps vehicles for at least 5 years or more. They did the fluid swap, very little...

New Toyota Land Cruiser Debuts with 409-HP 3.5L Twin-Turbo V-6

I'm really surprised at some of these comments. When has Toyota come out with a total flop of an engine? None to my knowledge, at least not modern day. If they are willing to put the engine in a their flagship Lexus before putting in the Tundra (land cruiser or LX), then they are obviously...

2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Is Taller with a Bright New Color

haha, probably maxed out credit cards like most of the jeep crowd! I don't know about you, but I always keep a $3k roof top tent on my truck so I can flex on everyone even though it's never been used. Same with my traction boards, fuel canisters, rigid or baja designs lights all over the place...

    Corolla Cross

I think you're right. I think the styling of the RAV4 keeps quite a bit of people from looking at them. This is quite a bit more subtle and not as in your face. I'm hoping they bring the GR Yaris here! Though I've seen rumors of a Corolla Hatch with the GR Yaris drivetrain, that has potential too.

2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Is Taller with a Bright New Color

Keep an eye on facebook swap, craigslist in my area seems to be fading. I bet there are tons in your area. Even in NW IA they pop up somewhat often. It's a direct bolt-on setup. If you can find a deal where they are selling the leaf springs as well, that would be even better!

    Corolla Cross

I wouldn't be surprised if Toyota drops the CHR for this. I hardly see any CHR's in my area. To me this seems like a softer, more conservative version of the RAV4. So people that want the RAV4 size, but don't want the stand out style will probably be all in on this. But I am curious how this...

2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Is Taller with a Bright New Color

The reason many get the PRO is because they can finance it. Not many people out there have the cash to buy a lesser model and put another $5k+ into the truck immediately after purchase. The nice thing is that it's all under warranty. Also like @BLND1 mentioned, just more cheap take-off's for us...
