I would use the Havoline 10/30 and watch for oil consumption. If oil level holds as before then just stay with this one oil.

While in warranty I would run the A5 and once out I would run the C3.

If the seat switch bad then would not the mower start? After thinking about it it will run if the brake pedal is locked in and you get off the seat. When you release the brake then the seat switch comes into play.

Well I got this from a good source. SOPUS oil is made of seconds from Mobil 1 production. Must be true because my third cousin who married his sister told me so.All kidding aside if I was not a Havoline fan I would be a QS fan.

19 year old john deere push mower. I think 3 years on oil but it could be 2. Out 30 wt super tech In 15/40 super tech. I am using up the last of the super tech oil for air cools. Will be switching over to chevron 15/40 delo and Havoline 10/30 syn.

Finding a straight 30wt on the shelves at any of the walmarts in my area just do not exist. Was told they will not carry it. I am moving on to 15/40 delo for the air cools and syn 10/30 for the gen sets. Now I am down to just using 2 types of oil.

I am now more of a Chevron guy. Once I use up all my other oil I will purchase Delo 15/40 for air cool small engines , 4 wheeler and diesel tractor. Truck will get Havoline Pro 5/30 while under warranty then 10/30 when out. I plan to keep it simple.Chevron is a good product at a fair price point.
