Ignorant guy lets a train hit his classic GMC truck

Yeah right, nice wild conspiracy theory. Youtuber and train company staged this accident, got it.

Do you "flash" to warn of police patrol ahead? Speeding content and rant.

It's an illustration. That is, 5 to 10 over is not enough for my fellow motorists and it does not attract the attention of law enforcement so I am "forced" to speed. But yes, on a road with no traffic, early in the AM and so on, I DO drive the speed limit because I find it to be relaxing.

Do you "flash" to warn of police patrol ahead? Speeding content and rant.

I don't. I wish there were more speed traps. I drive at least 5, if not 10 over, but invariably speeders ride my bumper. I live in a 40 MPH speed zone, never enforced, and really scary if you have children or pets when cars routinely zoom well over that. When I do go through a speed trap, even...

Did the shop perform the work I paid for? Brake Flush and Oil Change with photos.

I worked at a dealership in the 90's and a "flush" was indeed just a reservoir refill. No one ever complained or did we get called out on it. Note though, it was part of a 30K service, so easy to hide as it blended in with the over services. I suspect if a customer came in for a flush and only...

    Front license plates

Hate it, but a hack I use is a light smoke color cover to lessen the visual sting. It works. Amazingly, they changed the inspection laws here making it legal. Hate # 2 is when people think they are being cute by leaving it off or putting a filler plate on such as a sports team, that type of...

Dont know how to choose correct HPL oil

I don't think HPL claims to clean varnish. Maybe tidy up things a bit. But what would be helpful is an under valve cover pic before HPL use and one 5000 miles later.

The scam continues: Why wind turbines are being re-powered at 10-years

Cats kill about 2 billion, yes billions, birds a year. Numbers vary but it's easy to Google it.

The scam continues: Why wind turbines are being re-powered at 10-years

I wonder if you have noticed that anti-wind crowd all of a sudden seems to care about the environment now because it fits their (political) agenda. Everything method of electricity generation has its cost to the environment, which does include wind, and- dare I say it out loud? that includes...

Dont know how to choose correct HPL oil

Is that a fact, speculation or even just hope? Because, "chemistry" without any further information is nebulous. Just asking as I have skin in the oil game as I own a DI engine equipped car and would love a mechanic-in-a-bottle fix.

PSA- Dry cylinders = very low compression and no start

It's called the "car wash syndrome", a known phenomenon. I've experienced it and thought for sure the timing belt had broken because it was spinning over so fast.

    Fram Endurance, opened

A couple of more pics and observations. The base plate is a beast, heavy and thick. The gasket too is large and you'll never double-gasket the thing, which I had to pry off with a knife.

    Fram Endurance, opened

I couldn't find any additional layers, at least with that level of construction (tissue paper-like). Pic here shows maybe better the contrast between the materials.

    Fram Endurance, opened

I don't! Unfortunately, it slipped my mind to take a pic but as I recall it looked perfect and tight, just as depicted on the box.

    Fram Endurance, opened

Interesting finding: It's has a main layer and then tissue paper-like material between it and the wire backing (last pic).

    Fram Endurance, opened

Oh yeah, it's a classic PH8. Pleat is one piece. Noteworthy: The media seams were joined together with glue (pic). That's not good, now is it?

Fram Endurance - synthetic and wire backed

    Done, just posted it.

More exciting news about filters at Walmart. No, not Fram!

Honda. Not sure about the generic-looking box, which I've never seen before. Made in 'Murcia though, heck yeah! Upside down, I know, on the phone here
