ZT60, new in 2019 was working fine. Used my come along attached to the front of the frame to raise the front just enough to where the rear hitch touched the ground to change the blades, all went well. Lowered her, took 10 minutes to put tools up then fired her up and noticed the control levers...

    Generator suggestions?

Don't forget about the lithium battery powered 120v packs out there now. We use one at night to watch tv, run fans and lights. Don't have to have the gas one running outside and worry about theft. It charges up in an hour. Ours is made by Jackery, has been good, but they are getting popular...

    Xfinity users heads up

Had a cable box go out in the bedroom, Tech came out to replace it. I asked him about SSD's and DVR's as our 5 year old DVR with hard drive was getting noisy. He didn't know about that but he had a new DVR for free. OK. He failed to mention the NEW ONE ONLY RECORDS 20 HOURS AND ONLY RECORDS 2...

    Modern cars and drive-in movies

In Pasadena TX we had an adult drive in, full size screen! That was something to see.... Had another on Sheldon TX where each car had it's own screen about the size of a 50-60" led tv now, arranged in a circle (insert your own joke here). Either one could have saved Pee Wee Hermans career lol.

    What're your home thermostat settings?

Blessed with a wife that shares my temperature ranges (now that "the change" has calmed down), we keep it at 67 at night, 70 in the morning for a few hours, then off unless its in the 30's or 40's all day in the cold months. In summer (the other 9 months lol) we are at 74 day and 71 night. All...

    Mobile licence plate reader

Went in to get my inspection done, had to wait on another vehicle. It was an out of state plated Hundai with 4 Motorola devices mounted on the trunk aiming left, right, fore, and aft. Each one had 2 lenses like binoculars and he had a laptop in the passenger seat. Turns out he worked for a Repo...

    Shingles -The Illness

Back in the 80's my Boss got it. He was always in good shape, but they treated him with steroids and he gained 50+ lbs. Was off for 6 months. SIL got it a few years ago above her eye and pretty much lost her sight in that eye. Wife and I both got the 2 vacs a few years ago. Uneventful for us.

Can of Shellac blew up today

I'm sure most of you guys do some woodwork too, want to pass this along. Replacing some rotten pine siding and went to open a small pint can of maybe 2 year old Shellac to seal a few knots before priming the wood. Pryed off the lid and it went off like a shotgun. The lid hit my hand so hard it...

    Pre-fill OF

2001 Tacoma V6 255K, couldn't if I wanted to due to the angle and the way I have to manuver it up into the spot. And always cold oil changes. I always let it drain as long as I can-like 20- 30 minutes. I'm learning I have done every thing wrong, yet it doesn't use a drop of oil, sounds tight...

The Silver one had over 200k on her. I had her for a while till she blew the old head gasket. I was going to put in a turbo motor when I got a pic from the guy I bought it from 6 States away. The car he built to replace this one had a fuel leak and fire and I sold this one back to him and bought...
