    Buying a new String Trimmer

I have 2 Echo gas trimmers, 1 curved and 1 straight. Have been extremely pleased with both.

    Pilot Now E15?

The thing about that sale that will be interesting to watch is whether or not they will maintain TT status on the fuel.

Another involuntary credit card being closed- Lowes/ Synchrony

In my experience cancelling (or having this type of card cancelled) has minimal effect. I'll be faced with that again, eventually. I have a 830+ FICO. I also have a Discount Tire and a Select Number CC, both through Synchrony. I probably will never again use the DT card again, as their...

This is a rental car rant

I don't blame you. I'd be PO'd too. Did they run out of cars? No way in a warm, intemperate climate a Mitsu Mirage is an "Intermediate" car.

    Toyota Care --- NO CLUE!!!!

Well, the attempted wallet flush that accompanies it is complementary.

    Overpriced truck; '97 F-350.

There is the scenario that something is "For Sale" because they really want to or need to divest themselves from it. Then there is the "For Sale" if someone is willing to pay them stupid money for it. This offering appears to be the latter.

Which oil? 1983 LeBaron 2.6l (Mitsubishi engine)

I had a 1986 Lebaron T&C wagon with that engine. Always ran 5W30 in it for the over 100K I had it. I'd suggest the HM version of the same.

Has anybody watched "Earnhardt" on Amazon Prime?

Watched it and enjoyed it. Very well done. Mrs Tdbo watched it and liked it, even though she is not a NASCAR fan.

'Tis the season - dead lawn mower batteries

Is the battery in question a YTZ10S ? I ask because nowhere can I find a ETZ10S. The first thing that you should instruct your neighbor is why is he overpaying Lowes for a battery that only lasts a year? Should it be the battery I noted, a quick Amazon search indicates that there are quite a few...

    Most reliable used simple/basic vehicle

Well, at least he didn't tell him to walk, crawl, do cartwheels, or sashay all the way there. I mean, after all, why would his personal needs, wants, or desires play or factor into any of this./sarc. Back to the issue at hand. I'd say find the best 4K used car you can find. Of the list, I would...

Suggestions for small (through a gate) riding mower

I'd look for a lightly used JD X series in a configuration that meets your needs best.

Excrement occurs. Don't worry about it. Life goes on.

    Ceiling Repainting

I'd just go over it with a coat or two of Kilz, and paint with normal ceiling paint. I'd only go through the hassle of removing the drywall if mold/mildew were present, or the drywall itself was damaged in some fashion.

Whatever works. The good news: It's defeated!

    Gas trimmer purchase?

Echo hands down. Five year consumer warranty, plus they are very easy to start. I have a straight shaft 225 that I use as a dedicated brushcutter. Even after sitting for months, the must pulls that it has ever taken to start it has been three. Bought a curved Echo to use as my dedicated...

    MAG 1 conventional oil

One of the local farm stores sells it as their "House" or price leader oil. It can be had for under $3. qt. on promotion. Tells me what I need to know. It does what's required.

    Les Schwab, reputable company?

All the chain stores pretty much do the same wallet flush, or at least they try.

I use my cash back cards and rebate money to...

I take the cash option and place the money in my dedicated car replacement account. I have one card that used to cut a check when the rebate hit $100. Now they only offer either statement credit, or I would have to set up an account with that bank and pay a monthly fee. So, I am going to take...
