If it's a non gdi engine in the fusion why not once a year ? what's your annual mileage ?
truck is probably doable annually as well especially if you are using top tier oils ?
You mention HPL / ESP /and EP. all capable of 10k oil changes also the climate plays an advantage for you as well.
just replaced the battery in the in-laws 2015 rio it calls for 121r this may fit in the venue .
bought at Canadian tire $190 taxes in. its 550 c.c.a. the h5 group 47 also fits into the rio as well so I'm thinking the 121R will fit and a cheaper option for her.
My dad had an old friend who was a mechanic I remember him telling us his rule of thumb was 100 c.c.a per 100 cubic inch of displacement. mind you this was in the 1970's and you were trying to start massive engines .
I remember my dad replacing the battery in the 73 New Yorker, at that time...
I had a 2009 as well with the 2.4 ! it was a very reliable car. actually wish I had kept it.
Funny enough new people moved in are neighbourhood this summer and guess what they were driving !
So you already know you don't want a Hyundai.
Before a Sonata I would shop fusions or Malibu both can be found without turbo engines but could be difficult to find ?
This right here mixing valve is set to low.
Post a pic of the tank where the water lines connect to the tank so we can verify if it has a mixing valve.
I had an issue where my mixing valve was stuck on cold it mixed very little hot water so constant cold water draw from hot water tap.
I had the same engine in one of my boats.
I ran mono grade 30 '
10w30 - 15w40 and the quick silver 25w40.
When running the engine hard the oil pressure would drop quite a bit at high rpm and idle . When hot if i pulled the dipstick the oil would run like water off of it when using 30 or 10w30...
Thats all my Father would use in his Imperial /new Yorker I remember some of the cans i think were all metal then card board with metal tops he swore by Valvoline in the 60s and 70s i think it was rated 10w20w40 then changed to 10w30 and 10w40.
I used a lot of that exact oil you have there in...
Daughters friend had one it had around 260000 kilometers on it when sold.
Constant exhaust manifold stud and leak issues and noisy lifters other than that it was alright no major issues.
This was on a 2004 crew cab also very underpowered .
Good for you i'm happy you have good service from your 3 well two anyway !
Time will tell ?
lots of issues reported on other forums but hey maybe they are all lying .
Would have been nice if they tracked fuel consumption between the two.
wonder what type of service was done to the transmission and other driveline parts or if any failed ?
