2017 Ford Focus RS, 2.3 EcoBoost, 28k mi; 5w50 Amsoil SS, 4.2k mil

Enviro5609 This is a Great experiment on your part. The comments on the Forum are excellent as usual, and we'll gain some valuable data. We all recognize that Turbo engines are very tough on Oil. The TBN will not be your problem, but the fuel dilution will shear the Oil so far out of Grade that...

brandon9715 I've been using Amsoil SS for 9 1/2 yrs in my 2011 Expedition 5.4L 3v, It's Spec'd for 5w-20. Approx 4 1/2 yrs ago I switched from 5w-20 to 5w-30. That was 140k miles ago. My Expedition currently has 391k miles.(In my Signature) imho I would switch to Amsoil SS 5w-30, and do another...

I bought a set of BFG KM2's several years ago for my 2012 JK Jeep Wrangler. They've been great over the years in Mud and Heavy Snow. Now they have the KM3's which I'll most likely put on my 2023 Bronco. Good Luck with your decision!

lk0 Thanks for the Post I don't think that the Fuel Octane level will make a Dimes worth of Difference With a 8.5 Viscosity, the Oil is way out of Grade Depending on where you live you might consider an 0W-40 or a 5W-40 And at a 2.04 TBN, the Oil is SPENT Good Luck

Would you replace at 4/32nds ?

CKN That's a Great Question I have no idea how many miles you drive per year on your Wife's Highlander. Since they're OEM tires with 4/32nd's tread left, they have Zero resale value, and are probably sub standard. Since you posted the question, you've obviously thought about replacing the tires...
