I found a great Black Friday deal at Napa Auto parts for less than $30/gallon for the Valvoline EP ATF.

Ok, that's usually when I make sure I change it but didn't know with a full synthetic if it would last longer. :)

Thank you! If I use a synthetic transmission fluid like this, Valvoline extended protection full synthetic transmission fluid, can I wait longer to change it? How many miles before changing it again?

It's time for me to drain and refill my transmission fluid. To save money I'd like to buy the fluid and take it to my mechanic. Are the certain brands I should avoid? Brands that's recommended? Any other advice in this area of maintenance?

The big question is will it hurt my vehicle?

I agree, that's what I did! I let the car sit overnight and then popped the hood to check the oil and that's the reading I got. I have driven approximately 36 miles since the oil was put in and even took it back to Valvoline today to have them check it but they were quite firm that they only...
