What you wrote is what Ford and Ram buyers say, to make themselves feel better for buying low-quality products. A recall is a LEGAL TERM and LEGAL ACTION, so car companies just don't do them unless they MUST be fixed. In other words, you can correspond/tie the number of recalls to quality.

I don't buy that argument. My ride uses 0w-16 and I live in Las Vegas, so no, I use it with 100% confidence. I believe my 2021 Rav4 Hybrid will easily reach 200,000+ miles running on 0w-16 with 5,000 mile drains, and without burning oil. I've heard the same lame excuses about "more protection"...

Some oils are bi-polar...so lithium is indicated...for example, there is 0w-20...again, bi-polar...some call it crazy oil.
