State of Alabama "Buyers can tour a home without a contract"

Much ado about nothing! I was a Realtor many years ago and would not take on a client without a Buyer Representation Agreement, reason is to protect the interest of the Seller and my own time. If something is stolen or broken while showing who'll be held responsible? The Realtor showing the...

2015 Lexus ES350 Infotainment failure and fix

Good to know, I've also heard that in a case like this just rebooting the unit may work. The unit is rebooted by pressing & holding the Radio's on/off button till it comes on. I'd try this 1st as it is much simpler & faster and if not successful move onto Scout's advice.

    Right Hand Drive Cars

THE biggest drawback and danger is overtaking when behind another vehicle on a 2 lane road/hwy because you're blind.

    Repair to Subaru Outback....

I would NOT change just that one strut, Struts are to work in pairs you'll need to also change the other strut. If you really want to take a risk AT LEAST use the same brand as the good strut.

    Apple documents transfer conundrum?

Get an external drive (Lacie brand seems to be preferred by Apple) the iMac (I assume u have) will recognize it as "Time Machine" and you can then back up everything on it and then plug this HD into the new computer which will recognize it immediately as such and then you can restore whichever...

    Multi-vehicle ATF and CVT Fluids

I view Multi-vehicle ATF as a compromise, may not cause damage in the short run, in the long run no one really knows, but why take a chance? That's my opinion.

    Delta crash at Toronto

Saw a video that clearly showed the right undercarriage collapsed as soon as the whole A/C/ weight was on it. Impossible to say what was the cause, possibly mechanical or hydraulic failure, but it will come out during the investigation. Edited: The Video I saw was the one posted by Hemioiler above.

    X2 Battery "Freshness"

Frankly I'd not worry a bit!! With the quality of those batteries a few months isn't going to make any difference, not even with a Deka-EastPenn battery IMO. With home brands it's a whole different story.

New Sealed Jug of Antifreeze froze and burst in trunk of car?

Not all Anti-freeze is equal, some are better than others and that = more $$$. This is where Price vs Cost comes in. Having said that if this was not a sealed jug the possibility that someone had added water is there. If I were to shop at WM I'd not buy the home brand, but any of the good name...

    Cross Climate 2

I've had All-Weathers from Nokian; Toyo & now Michelin CC2 and these are by far the better grip in dry & snow. Haven't tried the ice yet, but judging by the number of sipes I'd expect it to be good. I agree with you that the looks are not the best, but function to me is more important. The...

Safe to stick with semi-synthetic Lexus 2GR-FKS?

Lets define what is and what is not a blend. You take part of a Mineral Motor oil & Part of a Synthetic motor oil (III or IV) mix them together and you have a semi-synthetic blend. Problem with this is that the % of synthetic vs mineral is never disclosed. Then you have what the germans classify...

Safe to stick with semi-synthetic Lexus 2GR-FKS?

Actually that oil is considered synthetic in that it is man-made from group III base and not group IV, it is not a blend like most semi-synthetics are. This thanks to a lawsuit by Castrol in a US court many years ago, Liqui-Moly also uses it in some of their Oils. I would not be concerned at...

Owner denied warranty for being outside OCI by 600 miles and short tripping.

I'm sure there is MORE to this story! Any dealer worth his salt would have gone to bat for a good customer and any manufacturer would not risk the loss of a client over this.

    Who makes which battery?

Are you sure about Varta? When I had to replace it in my MB it came from Germany. Varta batteries are manufactured in Germany, including in Zwickau and Ellwangen. Varta is a global manufacturer of batteries, power banks, chargers, and light

Toro Walk Behind Mower - No Oil Changes Required ?

Had a Toro personal pace and in the manual it specified after how many hours of use the oil had to be changed. There is a "philosophy" out there, not advocated by any manufacturer that I know of, which tells people not change the oil, but to add when needed. How long will the mower last...

Owner denied warranty for being outside OCI by 600 miles and short tripping.

Others are already there and have been so all the time. If you think this to be an exception you'd have to scratch all makes from your list!;)

    engine oil extractor

There some cars where any oil extractor will not work. I can't remember if it is restricted to model or year or to orifice size. MytiVac is one of the best if not the best. I'd buy one with as many "hoses" as possible to suit different cars.

Are any of these $tealer$hip recommendations legitimate

Could be legit, I can't really see the Control Arms, but it depends on the roads you drive on. The Water Pump seeping also could be legit as there was a batch of poor pumps that would fail. Mine was seeping, but was done under warranty by my dealer (Lexus RX350 2017) How much do you trust your...
