    PG241EX C&P Toyota Highlander 3mzfe

Off my 2006 Toyota Highlander with 3546 miles of run time on HPL pcmo 5w30 oil. Changed at 177,502miles. The HPL actually had another 900 or so on the oil. As expected, looks amazing/barely used. Replaced with a Parts Plus PH2538EX and fresh sump of HPL pmco 5w30. I didnt bother cutting the...

    What's your favorite fleet filter?

I only stock filters for my cars. But when the odd oil change comes in the shop I usually go with a Napa proformer along with Napa/Valvoline oil. Simple and to the point. I will alter the choices per use of each vehicle is outside of basic OCI.

    EcoGard S241 Toyota 1NZFE - HPL 5w30

From my 2010 Yaris sedan 1nzfe. 2680miles over 10months. Reason for the odd short interval is to put my OCIs back on the "5"s car was at 194959 miles plus I want to have a "pure" HPL current OCI to 5k and have it tested to see how my current driving treats it. If that makes any sense. As...

My Walmart has dropped the Endurance for a new 20k Purolator

Stopped by the Waltukey in Hampstead, MD this morning to get some things. Decided to see if they had any and they had a dedicated Puro Gold shelf one isle over from the main oil isle. Kinda odd but I guess its temporary until maybe the rest thins out a bit. Sorry no pics there was people.

    Purolator LX10575 Virgin C&P

I am clearly no expert...but I physically yawned while looking at the photos. I think that says enough. Thanks for tracking one down and cutting it open for us to see.

    Champ XL PH2840XL potential fail

This combination always sheds a little aluminum from having the head worked on. You'd think after a few years it would of tapered off. TBH this motor combination is being retired likely by the end of the season if it isn't dead by then. It runs strong, I have 230psi of cranking compression...

    Champ XL PH2840XL potential fail

Here it is after wicking. The other cap took some effort to pry off. Definitely caught some trash...again hoping the bulk if not majority is from the turbo.

    Champ XL PH2840XL potential fail

It was the top cap towards the adbv/engine block. I lightly tapped the bottom one but it didnt budge. Ill pry on it more after wicking to see if it comes off. The top one literally fell off.

    Champ XL PH2840XL potential fail

Yeah old stash from when I bought a bunch years ago. I still have a couple left, but no plans to run them as I've been making a global switch to PG based stuff throughout the fleet.

    Champ XL PH2840XL potential fail

Off my turbo 5efe Tercel autocross car for last season which I did not run a full normal season. 1783 miles. Using HPL Pcmo 5w30. I did have a turbo failure halfway thru. Top cap fell off. Glue not fully covering pleats. I tried looking with a light...no obvious thru holes yet. Bunch of...

    Toyota 1nz HPL 5w30 EcoGard S241

Off my 1nzfe swapped Tercel. Approximately 2800miles on oil and filter. I unfortunately forgot to note the starting mileage or accidentally deleted the info. No surprises. Looks good. Occasional carbon flakes. Didnt really need to bother cutting the element all the way out. Wicked for 4...

Don't see much about Redline here. Why not?

I used to run their oil in my autocross car...I didnt have a reason to hate it. I just use HPL now. Ive used their gear oils in mine and some customer cars with no complaints. I feel like when it comes to Redline, it seems its like its consumed by 1/10 oil nerd and then the other 9/10 are...
