Don't do it. It is way more difficult than it looks and won't turn out good. Also the precut kits are probably using low quality film. This is coming from someone who will go to great lengths to do stuff himself and avoid other people touching my car.

Is it a salvage title from the repo? Usually they are.

Wrecked cars can turn out great or complete crap. Just depends on who does the repair.

The heat warms up the plastics which cause the new car smell to come back. Nothing to worry about.

That is an 8th gen civic. 2006-2011

I've had good luck buying used but OEM parts on ebay. Starters, alternators, ps pumps, blower motors, etc. I try and find one from the newest year that will work and low miles. I recently bought a used starter off of a 2021 HRV for a 2012 Civic. Same part number.

So are those new ones sealed then? 👎
