Looks very well taken care of. But after working in several Ford dealerships in my time they indeed do have problems and often become money pits at this cars age. You may get lucky time will tell.
If you took it in for alignment they would have had to check the front end for issues before an alignment can be preformed. Something don't add up try another shop.
I have worked at many dealers and the lube tecs are all the same. They hate there job and do the very least to stay employed. They also have the know it all attitude that is laughable.
