With fully synthetic oil, vehicles that I am putting on 10,000 miles or more per year, I would do an oil change every 5,000 miles. If I am only putting on 6,000 or 7,000 miles a year, time will be the deciding factor which will probably be about every 6 months or every 3,000 miles or so.

He said the “previous” incarnation of the FS, not the current FS. I think LSJ said the same in his video.

You can use clear flood mode to prime the filter after oil change.

I would drain it and put in the oil of my choice just so I can feel more at peace. It is totally unnecessary but I have serious unhealthy attachment issues when it comes to automobiles.

With it being a NA engine with DI and you being in Cal, I like Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30 because it is readily available at a discount at the local auto parts stores. I am sure other reputable brands will be fine, Mobil is just what I prefer.

Mobil 1 ESP 0W-40, because of the 2019 R‘s DI engine.
