    Pentastar Owners! Any oil usage?

I had the 2014 Jeep GC limited with this engine and ran it to 85,000 miles and it never burned a drop of oil or leaked anything. This was one of the quietest and smoothest running engines I have ever owned. As others stated you have to be very carefull with the oil filter housing and don't...

I think I will put genuine Honda brakes on my Civic if I ever do any brake work. Great pictures!

    Non-slip sandals and shoes

I use the slip on Sketchers for something easy to take on and off and they provide pretty good traction.

Anyone doing a 'frankenbatch' of oil?

I just changed the oil in my Civic and used some leftover truck and suv Mobil 1 synthetic 0W20 (2quarts) and I mixed it with a little under 2 quarts of Kirkland 0W20. It's nice to get rid of those partial jugs.

This is what happens when a cook puts mustard on a hot dog ...

I use ketchup on lots of things and like mustard too. I usually use mustard as a binder on my pork baby back ribs too.

Loves and Flying J are not Top Tier

I almost always buy my gas from Costco and it's TT. If I go on a trip I really do not have a problem buying from a Love's gas station or any other large outfit.

    Model T value?

All done in good running condition they are worth about $10 to $11K. I would probably sell it and if you really want one purchase one that's already been restored unless he loves working on an older car like the Model T. Most of the buyers for a vehicle like that are already deceased with the...

Reasons NOT to use Kirkland 0w-20 or 5W-30 Synthetic...?

I have used Kirkland oil for years on and off in my vehicles excluding the Corvette. My Civic loves it and doesn't use any oil and I am at almost 151,000 miles. I use it on and off in my Ford F-150 V8 too and use 0W-20 in both of them.

    Keeping workers

It's all about the money. If you can get an easier job that pays the same or more you are going to go for it. I have no idea how hard shipbuilding is but I would probably say it's about the same as working in any factory which requires lots of physical work. People in today's world seem to...

Why are vinyl seats no longer an option?

I like the fake leather and half leather etc. they put in vehicles now. My 05 Corvette had seats that were leather and some type of vinyl or imitation and they were great. Vehicles in today's world marked as leather are often times made of other materials. Real leather isn't what it's cracked...

Our 261K mile old Honda Element had its first serious failure

It was money well spent in my opinion. Nice looking vehicle and it should go many more miles. I have almost 151,000 miles on my Civic and I have saved lots of money by not trading it off. Repairs have been minimal.

    Do engines get fatigue wear?

I would probably take it a little easy on the engine but I wouldn't be afraid to redline it either. If it's going to blow it's going to blow. Just make sure it is fully warmed up before you beat it like a rented mule. Best to take it easy unless you are pulling something. I don't beat the...

    Buying barbecue by weight

I can get the short ribs however they are way too expensive for my budget. The want somewhere around $9.00 per pound for beef ribs. I have tried them before on the smoker and they are ok but in my opinion the pork baby back ribs turn out better for way less money. I was a meat cutter years...
