    I'll be keeping my Galaxy Z-Flip 5

I'm really underwhelmed with all the 2024 Android offerings. Looks like my trusty S22U will keep plugging along. It's on it's 3rd back glass now and just keeps on chugging.

    2011 Grand Cherokee steering rack

New. I never tried the Mopar remans, but my guess is they're no different than an Edelmann or BBB in a Mopar box.

    2011 Grand Cherokee steering rack

You don't want to do the job twice... I assume it's 4WD? If so, book time is 7 hours. I tried aftermarket twice on WK2's and they both failed in short order. I'd bite the bullet and head to the dealer.

    ST9018 new construction

I swear my hands look dirtier than they were! The filters were fine when I left, I swear! :ROFLMAO:

    ST9018 new construction

I was wandering around WM on my lunch break today and decided to check and see if the ST9018's had changed to the new style media, as shown in this thread: New Toyota ST9972 It looks like they have! ST on the left, Fram XG9018 on the right. For $2.97, I think the ST will do just fine for...

What are you working on today?

It sure is! However, this has a fresh 3k mile 425 installed so I think it'll be running this engine for a long time!

What are you working on today?

Installed a new center link and idler arm on the Caddy to correct a ton of steering slop, along with a custom transmission kickdown switch I ordered from the 'Bay. I ended up getting probably the OLDEST center link left in the warehouse, a Made in USA TRW that looked like it had 30 years of dust...

Very impressed with Turbo Tim's Anything Automotive

I got the final bill for the new battery and starter, including diag. tax and shop supplies: $615.06. All things considered, I'm happy with that total.

The new Supertech 9972 (Toyota cartridge filter) is rather impressive

It would be great if ST would release the 9018 with this new construction. I'd use it in my Regal in a heartbeat.

    Annual registration costs in Arizona

Data point: I just filled out the paperwork to transfer the title and collector plates on my Cadillac: $472 here in WI. Luckily this is a one time fee as collector cars don't pay an annual fee.

Very impressed with Turbo Tim's Anything Automotive

I couldn't agree more. Allowing someone else to service our vehicles, ESPECIALLY my parent's vehicles, is extremely difficult for me. Luckily, dad just took delivery of a '24 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid so I'm off the hook for a while there.

Very impressed with Turbo Tim's Anything Automotive

There was no reported draw, at least not that I saw. Their recommendation for a starter was based on excessive current pull combined with a weakening battery which led to her no-start. The car sits a decent amount as she works from home most days, which doesn't help battery life.

Very impressed with Turbo Tim's Anything Automotive

For those who don't know: I'm an auto mechanic by trade and been the family's exclusive mechanic for over 20 years. Last year I moved a little over an hour away, making emergency repairs impossible and basic repairs inconvenient. My mother owns a very well taken care of but higher mileage 2010...

    Annual registration costs in Arizona

Wow, cheap. $82 this year and decreases each year on my '12 Regal using a $40k MSRP. $15 going down to $10 on our 2 remaining vehicles

Post your Gas Mileage : Calculated

We took our '02 Grand Cherokee with the 4.7 to the cabin over the 4th, and the results were pretty solid: 340.5 miles / 18.10 gal = 18.81 MPG with the AC on and a full load of cargo.

Post your Gas Mileage : Calculated

First report on my new-to-me '79 Deville, and it's actually not too bad: 273/19=14.37 MPG. Smack in the middle of its EPA rating of 12 city, 18 highway. No AC usage, 25/75 city and highway with speeds kept to 65 and below. I filled up with E0 87 octane this go, with an 8.2:1 compression ratio...

Snapper S40/Briggs Commercial Turf 130 hour update

A quick Google shows they declared back in 2020, but nothing recent. I should clarify: I own a Briggs V-twin powered mower (circa 2014) and it runs absolutely flawlessly at just over 200 hours. If anyone is in the market currently, do NOT purchase a Briggs powered machine unless it's a...

Snapper S40/Briggs Commercial Turf 130 hour update

You wouldn't be thinking that if you saw the number of failed B&S engines I've been seeing lately... we're on the 5th one in the past month. All on brand new machines with less than 10 hours on them. For clarification: all these failures have been on the 19.5 horse big singles, but the twins...

Switched from T-Mobile to US Mobile

Depending on how much data the two of you use, the $28 shared data plan would probably be plenty. That leaves you $61 a month in savings, which is more than enough to cover a top-tier Netflix plan subscription.
