    Mobil 1 X2 ESP 0w-20

Seems this will start changing mindset for thin oil can not meet new engine durability standard. The stated Jaguar land Rover is similar with BMW Longlife 14FE+ so almost as universal as it get for tough OE thin oil standard.

I am wondering if anyone can elaborate these new standards in simple term such as min HTHS, long drain, saps content, min. Viscosity, etc.? My understanding mostly similar to C5 but not sure what is the difference BMW LL14FE+ VW 508 VOLVO RBSO-2AE JLR 51.5122 Porsche C20 Thank you

    1.5L Honda turbo oil dilution

I think Honda has admitted the fuel dilution mostly happen during winter time where the engine does not heat up the oil pan enough to evaporate all the fuel diluted in the oil. So if you are not short tripper then the problem should not be severe

Is Pennzoil Ultra not LSPI friendly

IMO based on experience Ultra is more lasting before breaking down compared to PP, but it just cause LSPI on DI engine. For non-DI I believe PU is still the ultimate oil to use. In the past I ever question why PU caused ping on slightly burning oil engine even though the NOACK was one of the...

Impact of Lubricants on Engine Friction and Durability

It seems for thin oil to protect better, the use of MoDTc give better result than ester FM. Time to look into VoA and off the shelf additive ?

2018 Elantra vs 18 civic vs 18 cruze

In my mind, elantra is jack of all trade, not too shabby but not impressive beside the interior space. Cruze may have good chassis even though reliability may not be the forte. Honda typically has firm short suspension, so this may or may not be liked depending on the preference, but seems you...

    Liquimoly Molygen Motor Protect

Some digging on WS2 vs MoS2 Seems promising, i just notice I can drive about half an hour and the oil temp will remain at 93-95 C. So seems the additive is much more effective than old Motor protect. Will still need to evaluate during full OCI and my second tank mileage. ws2 vs mos2
