If I am looking at the manual correctly it indicates 'Check Transaxle' however I am not familiar with a sable. See page 12 and 124 of the manual.

Ordered 4 Cooper Evolution Tour this past Thursday. Arrived on Monday. I went to the WM TLE on Tuesday around 2:30. Installed and out the door about 3:30. Dates were one 5019 and three 5219 shipped out of Indy.

The only AWD vehicle I had (Saturn Relay) the owners manual said to always change all four tires due to the AWD. It had a matched set on it then I put a new set all the way around (Kumho TA11s) but then got rid of that piece of junk about a year later. Wish I had not put the new tires on it.

If the belt is routed properly since you loosened the tensioner pulley it may be that the tensioner is no longer aligned correctly. There should be a nub on the back of the tensioner that is used to ,make sure installed in the correct position and aligned correctly.

I have a 2004 Jeep Liberty with the 3.9L V6 that does the same thing. However it did it prior to and after and oil and filter change. What I have noticed is it only does it in cooler weather. I believe it is the oil pressure sending unit and just have not gotten around to changing it.
