I’d pick one and not worry about it. If you have an oil related issue they will probably just want to see your receipts. They will not get into the level of certifications that you mention. Been there, done that.

If your silver keeps ticking upward BS may flag it. They’ve flagged silver in the EJ in the past with results as low as 4-6 ppm’s. Hopefully it’s just noise.

@SubieRubyRoo did you consider an All Weather tire? Just curious since you mentioned Midwest winter. I’m eyeing a Cobb AP as well since it’s finally available for the Outback XT. They also offer a veteran’s discount of 15% although not through ID me.

I guess this depends if we think that these results are 100% accurate? At the very least, I would move up to a higher HTHS Euro oil which is what is allowed in the stock JDM FA24 WRX. You can go with an ACEA C3 xW-30 which gives you a more robust viscosity without the higher metallic additives.

How do you know it’s not in the oil? Some factory fill oils absolutely use an oil with higher moly.

I do not believe that Idemitsu makes an oil that is not synthetic for the U.S. Same goes for a Subaru labeled version. https://www.idemitsulubricants.com/idemitsu/engine-oil

Looking on the Subaru Japan site, I have found that both the JDM Crosstrek (specs 0W-16 here) and the WRX allow 0W-20, 5W-30 and Euro 0W-30. Both manuals make mention of the Les Pleiades 0W-30. http://www.pleiades-zero.com/?page_id=69

I think the fuel dilution is pretty decent compared to most Subaru DIT's. Highway driving doesn't seem to have much of an impact on fuel in the DI or DIT engines. Was the VOA submitted with the UOA?
