Meeting at gas station to buy a vehicle.. strange experience

Definitely sounds sketchy. You probably did the right thing by not stopping at his house. I always carry a firearm when I'm buying stuff off of CL or FB MP.

Removing truck bed vs dropping fuel tank?

If you have access to a tractor and you don't think your bed bolts are rusted in, it's a no brainer to remove the bed instead of dropping the tank. We didn't use the tractor when we changed the fuel pump twice in about a year and a half on our 97 GMC long bed farm truck. We had several people...

    Window regulators

I don't like Dorman electrical parts but I did use a Dorman window motor/regulator assembly in my 98 Chevy K3500 truck back in about 2008 or 2009 and it still works to this day. It's in the driver's side door too which sees the most use.

Cap adapter to pressure bleed Toyota brake fluid?

I use the Speedi-Bleed pressure bleed tool. It works very well.

2023 Mustang restricted from sale at dealer

Hers is a 4 door cab as well but with the XLT package. They must have fixed it on hers prior to it being built. I will have to check hers and see if they are all the same color.

Pressure Testing Coolant System: Fusion 1.5L

This looks very much like the MAC adapter that says works on your vehicle. That vent inside that tank is definitely your problem if you don't use the correct adapter that will seal it. https://www.mactools.com/products/ra10052

Pressure Testing Coolant System: Fusion 1.5L

Make sure that there is not a bleed hole on that coolant reservoir that is not allowing you to build pressure. I discovered that my fiancé's 2017 F150 had one on its reservoir when I was trying to use a coolant vaccum refiller on it and it wouldn't build a vacuum. You could see hers if you...

What are you working on today?

Yesterday changed the coolant in my fiancé's 2007 Mustang GT. Used the Uview 550000 Airlift cooling system refiller. That thing is awesome. Makes changing coolant very easy and fast.

2023 Mustang restricted from sale at dealer

That is interesting. My fiancé bought a new 2017 F150 in July of 17 and I don't recall her having to get any bolts for the rear seats fixed or replaced. Maybe you bought yours before then.

2023 Mustang restricted from sale at dealer

No, he didn't say anything else until we got to our car and said, "let me know if I can help you, have a nice day".

2023 Mustang restricted from sale at dealer

The 07 GT is her car and she likes it and doesn't want to get rid of it. It only has 30,000 miles on it. I was the one who wanted to go look at this car just to see what the sticker price was these days since I've not looked at a new Mustang in several years.

2023 Mustang restricted from sale at dealer

I doubt it. My 14 GT is paid for and only has 38,000 miles on it. I'm not sure I would want to buy this car because of how long it has sat outside and if they don't get the bird crap off, that could mess up the paint. That happened to her 07 GT because we didn't catch it in time and it messed...

2023 Mustang restricted from sale at dealer

My fiancé and I were at the Ford dealer today picking up some coolant for her 2007 Mustang GT. After buying it, we went out on the lot to look at the new Mustang GT's they had on the lot. They had a nice looking metallic dark red colored one. I noticed it had a yellow star sticker on the back...

    New truck! 2024 F-250 4x4

Nice looking truck. You don't see too many extended cabs anymore. You also don't hear much about the smaller 6.8L. Mostly it's about the 7.3L. If I was looking to buy a new 3/4 ton truck these days, I would probably lean towards the Ford with the gas V8.

    New tool thread

Got this off of Ebay today to use on my 90's Cavaliers and 98 trucks as well as my fiancé's Dad's 97 Ford F250HD he just bought that is OBD 1.

What happened to Dodge & Chrysler?

Nice to know but if it's not a V8, I'm not interested.

2015 GM 3500 6.0L - Need help with engine stumble

With those negative fuel trims, your engine is running rich. Since you replaced the O2 sensors and injectors with original GM parts, the next thing I would check is the MAF sensor. What are your gps with it running at idle? Is your coolant temp sensor reading normal?

Are there sockets for square heads like thread taps?

I have the Lisle set and it works great.

    Looking for a scanner

I have two 98 Chevy trucks and I will tell you that a lot of the cheaper scanners do not have the Cam retard PID that you need to set the Cam offset on these trucks. I have an Innova 5610 that is a $350 scanner that doesn't have the PID to set it. My Otofix D1, Thinktool Pros, and Launch X431...

Neighbors rolled the dice on a manufacturer buyback vehicle... and lost.

I was thinking the same thing. He and Eric O of South Main Auto work on a lot of cars that come from dealers who can't fix them.
