What happened to Dodge & Chrysler?

We have tons of challengers/chargers around here. I really wanted a Challenger but never pulled the trigger on one and now they no longer make them and I'm not about to buy a used one. Anything electric is a no go for me so the new Charger is also out.

    I don’t need no stink’n truck!

We live on a farm so no way would we be without a truck. We have a 24 ft gooseneck stock trailer plus an 18" car hauler both of which need a decent size truck to haul. Going to rent a truck is a hassle and I don't borrow other people's vehicles or loan them mine so that is out of the question...

Are oil filter cap wrenches useless?

I have two different sizes of these Lisle ones. They are nice.

'17 Civic: Dealer says A/C Compressor, Condenser, & Evaporator are all leaking

This is what I did back in 2006 when the cost to fix the AC in my fiancé's work beater was more than the car was worth. I bought the tools needed, studied how to correctly fix and recharge systems and have successfully fixed around 20 vehicles since then. Some years into this, I got tired of...

What are you working on today?

The rear shoes probably had around the same amount of material or a little more as the ones on the left in the picture. The front shoes probably had twice that the the ones on the right-hand picture does.

What are you working on today?

I will look again at some point but there didn't appear to be any wetness around the boots or down below them. Brakes have always worked well too.

What are you working on today?

Decided to tackle the job of replacing the rear brake shoes on my 98 Chevy K1500. They have been making noise for quite a while when backing up, so I figured they were worn out since they are the original shoes with 144,000 miles on them. I bought this truck new and have never replaced the...

    Post Your Latest Coolant Change.

2014 Mustang GT 38,000 miles drained radiator and used the Airlift 550000 vacuum coolant filler to install the new coolant. It made it a very fast process. Used Motorcraft yellow coolant and distilled water. Changed out 6 quarts and system holds 13.

    New tool thread

Thanks for posting this. I didn't know that they had come out with this shorter wrench. I have the 18" one and the discontinued double ended wrench for both the 3/8 and 1/2 nano sockets. I ordered this one and received it yesterday.

Put a Borla catback on the 2024 Tahoe

    Sounds good. I've had a Borla cat-back on my 1998 Chevy K1500 since 1999.

Ford issues "do not drive" advisory for Takata airbags

My fiancé had both of the airbags replaced in her 2007 Mustang GT and I had both replaced in my 2014 Mustang GT.

    Radiator brands.

From what I can tell it's square, but I can't see the bottom of the hose that well. The inside of the hose was clean and I put the hose clamp back in the same spot on the hose where it had been before. It does look like the hose can be slid up a little closer to the radiator so I'm going to...

Took the truck for a test drive and the lower radiator hose at the radiator is leaking. I have the clamp as tight as I can get it with a ratchet so I'm going to have to mess around with it later after everything cools down. The upper transmission line is still slightly seeping where the line...

    Radiator brands.

I wish the ones for out 92 and 94 Cavalier fit exactly. It will not sit correctly in the rubber cradle at the bottom of the core support on the driver's side on both years so there is some movement of the radiator. The Murray one that was in our 94 Cavalier developed a leak on the driver's...

The copper fittings were actually not what was leaking. It was leaking where the original transmission lines went into the copper fittings. The design of the original transmission lines don't allow for any type of gasket. Here is where the original radiator cracked.

The radiator arrived pretty early so I was able to get it installed today. It wasn't without some issues though. It took a while to get the original one out because the access to the lower oil cooler line was in a very tight spot and the lines going to the power steering cooler were in the...

That is good to know. I decided it was worth paying extra to be able to warranty it locally if I have to.

I ended up ordering the one from Autozone. It should get here tomorrow. Lifetime warranty. I got 20% off having it shipped to the house plus free shipping. Online reviews are actually pretty positive, and everyone says it fits like OEM. We shall see. Hopefully it doesn't arrive damaged and...

I agree. I'm going to probably go with something local even though it will cost more because I'm sure I will have to warranty it at some point and trying to ship it back to someplace online will probably be a hassle. I've not bought an aftermarket radiator yet that I didn't have to warranty...

I just checked LMC. They don't carry one for my year truck with the 7.4L. Thanks for the suggestion though.
