The Audi Etron has speed sensors on the drive motors. I’ve changed quite a few motors due to this sensor failing as it’s not replaceable as an individual part.

This is essentially the same repair set up as Audi, you don’t balance the full battery pack, you balance the new module and it’s other two joining ones to match the mean cell voltage of the “good” part of the pack.

You need to know the terms and conditions of the reman part as they will expect a core return. Maybe the damaged casing puts the battery outside of the T’s and C’s. I repair EV batteries for Audi, no way would I buy anything that’s currently available on the market.

Parts prices are all over the place, I can buy a Genuine ZF 8hp oil pan for £124. This seller regularly has over 40% off that price. Down side is it takes 10 days for delivery usually. If I buy this pan from Audi for a SQ7 and it’s about £500.
