I'm close to this and my truck likes the 5w40 liqui moly

Wanted to use my FPC credit so decided to go with the 5w40 Molygen for my 229k mile 2014 2500HD 6.0L and my Yamaha 225 SHO outboard motor. I now there's a lot that don't like Liqui Moly here due to marketing and pricing but with this deal I'm paying next to nothing.

Not the exact answer to your question but unless you're outside the temp specs, which I can't imagine. I'd stick with a 5w over a 0w oil anyday.

I get that. I guess the point of my post was LL01 has never been recommended for any diesel. It's always been LL04. The equivalent of saying not to use 2 stroke oil in it. :-)

I 100% could tell a difference in my high mileage 2500HD. Sits a lot. The other day could BARELY do 70mph with the foot to the floor. Dumped in some Regane and after a tank it was back to hitting the limiter.

Different chemistry all together but has proven results and was able to get it for $10 a can vs $25.

My magnet was covered lol. But I did a pan drop and exchanged it then went and bought a fluid extractor and today did another exchange. I could probably stand to do another and just might since I already have the fluid here. Once I do this one I’ll never have to do it again.
