    737 for trans Atlantic Flights

Just did a few 2 hour stints on 737-800's and found them very loud. I certainly wouldn't want to spend more than a few hours in one. Although Ryanair's seats didn't help, they're like deck chairs.

BMW B48 Engine Oil Filter WRONG Installation Query

That's the same filter I used to have on the B47. Rightly or wrongly, It felt far safer to pop the nipple into the required slot and then put the lid on afterwards.

BMW B48 Engine Oil Filter WRONG Installation Query

Does the B47 use the same oil filter? When I had my B47 I always used to put the filter in the housing and then the lid on top and never had any issues.

EPA possibly goes after the Start/Stop System!

Also worth adding that I had a 2020 BMW 5 Series with a 48v starter generator that could spin the engine up instantly. That was one of the only start/stop systems that was tolerable but I still turned it off in favour of (hopefully) timing chain longevity.

EPA possibly goes after the Start/Stop System!

I actually really struggle driving hybrids because the constant switching on and off of the engine really bothers me. Even driving at 70mph+ down the motorway, every time you lift off the throttle the engine shuts straight down, then as soon as you apply power again it fires back up again. I...

Using 0w40 in a car that asks for 0w30?

I think the older Subaru Justy was a Suzuki Swift but with four wheel drive. I remember looking at them as an option for a different to the norm first car back in 2010. I was a bit sad when I realised they weren't flat fours. I do love the sound of a flat four with a set on unequal length headers!

Using 0w40 in a car that asks for 0w30?

Nearly all the Toyota Aygo's, Citroen C1's and Peugeot 108's are manuals over here. Great little cars they are too! Had one of my most enjoyable cross country dashes ever in my Wife's old 2015 Citroen C1 back in 2016. Could thrash the living daylights out of it without really worrying about...

Using 0w40 in a car that asks for 0w30?

I run the cheapest ACEA A3/B4 I can put my hands on in my Sister In Law's Toyota Aygo with the same engine. In fact, I think the last two fills have been with Tesco 15w40 which I picked up for £5/5 litres in a sale a few years back.

    Choosing correct viscosity for BMW M5 w/ S63TU 4.4L V8

I'd order some M1 5w50 X2 from Autodoc and call it a day. It has the same add pack as the much loved M1 0w40 FS, but is a little bit thicker. Usually pick up M1 0w40 or M1 5w50 at 4 litres for less than £40 delivered from Autodoc. You're going to get a lot of suggestions on here for oils we...

    2022 Cupra Born V2

I'm in Wales, but it's all the same island with much the same weather. On a 15°c+ day taking it easy I can see upwards of 250 miles. This drops down to ~200miles in the cold weather. However, this is little to do with the HVAC and more to do with the batteries abilities at colder weather...

    2022 Cupra Born V2

Little update as I've had the car a two months now. Have a few issues with the car and really need to get it booked into the dealer. I have a front end knock that sounds like an anti-roll bar link, the driveshafts are clicking when you go from drive to reverse or vice versa (a common issue)...

Michelin Guardian wiper blades at Costco?

Yes, it's these we have. I bought two sets recently. One for my Wife's Volvo and the other for her girlfriends Toyota CHR and they're both jumpy and streaky. I usually use Bosch Aerotwins but happened to pass these in Costco so thought to try them. Strange.

Michelin Guardian wiper blades at Costco?

We have Michelin branded wipers here in the UK at our Costco's. Not sure if they're the same items but if they are I can confirm they're terrible.

What type of battery is it? It's likely that type may not need venting.

Block heater for a Natural Gas Standby Generator (38 kW Kohler)

Worth linking the block heater to an external thermostat so it only kicks in when the external temp drops below a certain threshold? I'd imagine M1 0w40 would be more than man for this and have no issues pumping well into minus figures.

    Asymmetric All Season Tyres

Back in early 2021 we had a bit of snow and I took my Son (who was about 18 months old at the time) up to my in laws at 6am. Their housing estate is at the bottom of a steep hill. I was in my Wife's Mondeo ST220 wearing Dunlop Sportmaxx RT2's and I could not get back up the hill to get out of...

    Asymmetric All Season Tyres

Your website seems to back up what I already thought. I'm looking for a winter tyre that I can put on either side of the car without having to have the tyre remounted in the correct direction. These are generally called Asymmetrical over here. This is kind-of the feeling I'm getting. In which...
