I changed the oil today in my 2007 Ford Fusion 2.3 at my normal 10K OCI. M1 is the only oil I have ever had in this engine. Out: M1 5-30 HM In: M1 5-30 HM. Filter: MC FL 2017B Cartridge

    Brake fluid overflow

I always turkey baster the reservoir before compressing the caliper. You won't get overflow then.

Mobil 1 EURO 0w40 in lawn mowers and other small engines.....

For the last 35 years I have used M1 10-30 in all my OPE (Craftsman rider with 21 HP engine, and my 5KW gen with a Subaru engine) with never an engine failure.

Valvecover pics: Toyota 1NZFE 295,000 miles.

I would be disappointed with that in my engines and I do 10K OCIs.

The main reason I change oil at 3000 miles...sludge!

Very true. My engines have no sludge or varnish even with 10K OCIs using M1 oils.

Oil Brand consideration Mobil 1 to Kirkland

No, I haven't had a reason to do UOAs in the last 45years using M1 oils. UOAS are good for checking the condition of the oil, such as coolant, dirt, or fuel contamination, not much else.

    FL-910-S Cut Open

It's been my 60 years of experience changing my own oil that the oil you use is far more important than the filter you use. Just sayin.

My son bought a 2022 G Wagon this past spring. Quite a machine.

Boutique (Amsoil etc) vs premium normal (Mobil1 etc)?

My 2007 Ford Fusion 2.3 has 311K all on M1 oils at 10K OCIs. Oil consumption runs about 6-8oz per OCI. Engine still remains very clean.

Another X-20 vs X-30 Thread (sigh)

I don't know about heartburn, but I have put some 700,000K on my Ford 2.3 and 2.5 Durateck engines with either 0-20 or 5-20 M1 oils.

My 2007 Ford Fusion turned 300K today.

I failed to mention my 2007 Ford Fusion with 308K. I drive Fords because I've never had one to fail (engine or trans) to date. M1 and Ford has been a very good combination.
