I changed the oil today in my 2007 Ford Fusion 2.3 at my normal 10K OCI. M1 is the only oil I have ever had in this engine.
Out: M1 5-30 HM
In: M1 5-30 HM.
Filter: MC FL 2017B Cartridge
For the last 35 years I have used M1 10-30 in all my OPE (Craftsman rider with 21 HP engine, and my 5KW gen with a Subaru engine) with never an engine failure.
No, I haven't had a reason to do UOAs in the last 45years using M1 oils. UOAS are good for checking the condition of the oil, such as coolant, dirt, or fuel contamination, not much else.
I failed to mention my 2007 Ford Fusion with 308K. I drive Fords because I've never had one to fail (engine or trans) to date. M1 and Ford has been a very good combination.
