The reason they are going to AGM batteries.... especially in cars with start/stop function is because an AGM battery has the ability to be recharged rapidly.....up to 80% charge.... after that they have to be charged/topped off at a much slower rate. Both Ford and Honda manipulate charging...

Why use a more expensive battery if you don't have to? AGM batteries have a different charging algorithm than traditional flooded batteries. Damaging the AGM battery would be the risk.

Does the oil in your RDX stay dark or is it pretty clean after a change? If I remember correctly, my wife's was really clean when she got it new. The dealer did the first change yesterday and the oil is really dark. So dark I doubt it was done.

If it was me, I would cut the male cord cap off and slide some shrink tubing down to the spot needing repair. Then I would replace the cord cap.

IIRC, you are supposed to install it as close as possible to the incoming power.
