In the second picture, it looks like there's an old fashioned filament light bulb in that reading lamp.

The triangle in circle logo in post #8 is completely unfamiliar to me.

2019 Yaris (Mazda 2) long crank before start

Different time/different car...Mrs. Kira's Saab had intermittent hard starting. It turned out to be a bad Crankshaft Positioning Sensor. It had a magnet in it which weakened. I say that because the old one would barely hold its own weight while against a steel garbage can while the replacement...

    Dog and Cats

So many people have both, it isn't even "noticed", practically speaking. Perhaps a high "refuge space" is all the cats will need. Our cat essentially flies up to a cabinet when she plays with the canine. They cohabitate just fine. I bet yours will too unless you got 'psycho-kitties'. We...

2019 Yaris (Mazda 2) long crank before start

Treat your fuel with a PEA cleaner (Techron or other) before some local driving. While not a concrete suggestion, it can't hurt. The intermittency is the puzzler.

    Magnetic Oil Drain PLugs.

Two questions: 1) If you got a vehicle and did an oil change and discovered it had a magnetic drain plug and it was covered with ferrous metal fuzz, would you carefully wipe off the magnet and drop that wad of metallic fuzz back into the oil fill hole? 2) If you performed a pan drop and filter...

    $2.50 for pump air?

Refreshing. Last year about this time, my BIL sought 2 expensive tires. I sent him to "my guy". He told BIL to drive through the Summer and return for a recheck. This was an >$700 sale easily.

    Dad's 1947 Lincoln coupe

I've read each post with relish. This is quite the project. Hydraulic window cylinders, all the wiring so far...and you haven't addressed the interior except for mentioning replacing some carpeting. 1) Is the "it's only original once" proviso applicable here being the car has been repainted...

    2001 RAV4 coolant top off

25 year old hoses? We all know they're MUCH BETTER made than yesteryear, but 25 years is a long time. I believe today's hoses age from the inside out. Consider changing them at this time.

    Coming soon... TOP TIER+ fuels

Exactly. Didn't Volkswagen coolant go from G11 to G12, then G12+, then G12++, then G12+++? I don't know what came after that.

Cleaning white vinyl post & beam style fence

Rubber gloves, bucket 'o bleach solution, coarse toweling (those blue ones doctors use to clean road rash incidents) rinse. I think you're at the 'elbow grease' stage. A foam cannon won't do it unless ridiculously powerful chemicals are used.

    VRP is in Canada!

On a longer VRP thread, 3k mi. OCIs seemed to be the consensus. Was the consideration fresher cleaning agents or user impatience?

I got a free VRP oil change at walmart today 😃

Does that engine have the small "oil filter housing drain plug" (with its own little O-ring)? What year, what model? They're not in your signature.

    $2.50 for pump air?

    Why...fearing an upsell? ...safety concerns?

    VRP is in Canada!

Use over four (4) 4,800km OCIs. Good caveat: This product is not for extended drain use.

    $2.50 for pump air?

Years ago my brother, upon seeing a coin op air station, said "I think free air should be required". Taking the opposite side (as our dad would), I said, "The owner can say 'This is the USA and I'll run my gas station any way I like' ". Practically thinking, I can see small stations doing this...
