    Motul Made in USA

Bottle design and labels are usually marketing concerns and can be influenced by regional requirements and preferences. The major U.S. additive package manufacturers have multiple domestic and European manufacturing locations. They can produce a package across locations without problem. My point...

    Cavatelli in my Rear Diff

It probably depends on how much water is present an how long the oil has been idle to allow the water or emulsion to separate. A little of that creamy material heated in a spoon mighty boil if it is an emulsion.

    Cavatelli in my Rear Diff

The lacy, foamy bubbles on the oil surface in the pail is probably foam. Industrially, foam is often defined as bubbles >1mm in diameter that tend to rise to the surface when the oil is idle where they break if the oil isn’t contaminated with various things and the defoamer is still active...

Any reason to run an engine after a oil change?

There are preservative engine oils for long term storage. Mil-L-21260 Rev. d oils meet this requirement. They function as an engine oil but have enhanced rust protection. If you don't go with a storage oil, I would use a mineral oil-based oil with a high TBN. Mineral oils will be the most...

Any one here made their own kitchen cabinets?

I don't have the tools, talent or attention span for such an undertaking. When I was young I would start a project like this and not finish. Now, I don't start and say to myself "you know you won't finish."

Hose bib to hose connection seizing

The silicone is a great recommendation. It will protect the threads and it should be very water resistant.

Do I Need To Make Any Changes To My Lubricants Selection?

@George7941 - My opinion, nothing is better than a maintenance plan and product profile that has been problem-free for 15 years. Why change a program that meets your specific needs without problems.

Start of an NLGI 1 grease chart

Why not post the actual spreadsheet(s) then it becomes a working tool rather than just a list for everyone.

    Restore and protect opinions

I meant the Restore and Protect. They seem to have optimized the fluid blend to yield a level of solubility capabilities that progressively cleans without blinding the filter. Solubility capability is based on a specific aniline point. This is just an opinion based on what I read.

    Restore and protect opinions

I don't think the cleaning technology is new. I think Valvoline has done an excellent job of optimizing existing technologies based on documentation that is publicly available.

    Going Postal

To complete the look, the driver's mandatory attire should be a Big Daddy Ed Roth Rat Fink tee shirt with heavy-framed black sunglasses.

    CV grease selection.

I don't think that cv joint greases are so much unique as they need to be selected carefully. Rzeppa joints are usually lubricated with moly and/or graphite grease with EP, AW, rust and corrosion inhibitors and antioxidants. Consistency is important, probably an NLGI 1 to ensure adequate...

The SECRET Oil Companies DON'T Want You To Know...

Truth be told, this is how all motor oil manufacturers make their oils. It's nothing special. Usually the larger companies make licensable oils while boutique manufacturers tweak the formula with task specific components. Some manufacturers produce both licensable and boutique oils to meet...
