Make 100% sure that the air hose to the venturi nozzle is in perfect shape. No cracks, rot, rubbing, no anything. does this one have an adjustment for air pressure?
Stirring brush piles right now with my old Cat 941B. Already have a pit open to bury the remnants when I’m done burning. Probably have a few hours left to go tonight.
I agree to an extent. I have a lot of investments. What I purchased allows me to have a set at home and at work which keeps me from having to carry a bunch of stuff back and forth. I have carpal tunnel in both wrists so I’m really expanding what my cordless tools can do.
Wanted to start a discussion for people who are shopping for deals. I’ll start off with this Neiko socket set. I purchased the first one last year and have used it commercially and it’s been great. Just ordered a second one to keep at the farm and I’ll leave the other at work. Neiko 3/8 Impact...
2016 F250 6.2 Gas- bought around 160k and no idea what it had before but probably quick lube maintenance based on the window sticker. 194k now and using Schaeffer 9000 5w30 somewhere between 10 and 20 percent on OLM
My parents have a 2004 Taurus with a 3.0 Duratec bought at 12k miles now...
Years back my dad bought me the Dewalt 20v Drill/Driver package for Christmas. I added a few more batteries and then a few more tools here and there. I'm too invested to go back now.
I deal with frustrated drivers almost every day. I drive a truck that is big, slow, and heavy. It takes a while to come up to highway speed and I need to plan my moves in advance. Many perceive this as being picked on.
First two loads of gravel went well today. There’s a learning curve with the gate on the bottom that will take time to figure out but I’m happy with it. Empty weight with a full tank of fuel is 20,500 pounds and my legal gross weight is 52,000 pounds. This means I can haul 15.75 tons if scaled...
Getting the Mack and belly dump ready to work this week. Changed both trailer hub caps and refilled with Lucas Hub oil. Changed transmission fluid and external f filter, refilled with 7 gallons MFA Dexron 3 ATF. Changed diff oil with 5 gallons MFA 75w140. Greased the truck and trailer with...
I’m switching to the RevHD products everywhere I can. Several local suppliers are starting to keep a fair inventory now. For a while it was hard to get anything. The hub caps are still quarantined from the earlier recall.
These are heavy duty hubs on semi trailers. The only water they’re exposed to would be from rain or when it’s being washed.
I think I will try it next time I have one opened up. My only real reasoning for this is because I usually keep several gallons of 132 here but the Lucas is only sold in...
It varies a lot. I see anything from 75w90 being used up to 85w140 and this Hub oil is about the same viscosity as the 132 to the naked eye. Many companies are using semi fluid grease now as well.
I use my pro finish sets in lime, fertilizer, water, polymer you name it. Never had any rust problems. Unless you just like the higher finish I wouldn’t spend the extra money.
Bondhus is the only Allen wrenches I’ll buy anymore.
I have several trailers with oil bath hubs that I use Lucas Hub Oil in. I’ve always been suspicious that the hub oil was just their Stablilizer in a different bottle. Wondering if the 132 might work in place of it.
I'd say it's from bearings but I also wouldn't be too worried unless the trend continues. I recommend changing oil at 5,000 miles and resampling. If there's no change notify your dealer and keep these UOA documents in case there is a future problem.
It was a slow day for me due to lots and lots of rain. I had my annual wellness checkup which I'll post the story for all of you to laugh at/with me.
Thought it was just going to be a normal height/weight/bp check and nothing more so I wasn't too worried about it. I don't do well with needles...
I worked 7pm-7am briefly and hated it. It was 3 days a week so the last day I wouldn't go to bed most of the time to reset my sleep schedule for the rest of the week. It was a rough time for me and one I hope to never have to repeat.
You get used to it eventually. I worked with a guy that worked 4pm-12:30am and gamed until the sun came up and went to bed. He didn't have much of a home life and it worked for him. I like second shift because I run my own business during the day and this makes that possible.
Many people on my...
Took a half-day road trip and purchased this belly dump pup trailer yesterday. It's a 1985 Gall and in really nice shape for the age. I'll have a few welds to repair and I need/want to add an electric tarp kit plus wire the truck to operate the gate and the tarp. This will be pulled behind my...
