Looking for a very specific 2024 CX-5 NA

According to the internet you can put in a group 35 AGM and it works fine. People aren't doing any programming, just waiting a while (one user reported it took two days) for the errors to go away after changing the battery. Where are you reading that you have to spend $500 on a car battery?

    Scanner

OBDLink MX+ with a random old Android phone with the ODBLink app. I use that phone as I won't be upset with if I break that one while working on a car unlike my main phone. Have also used the OBDLink MX+ with Forscan on Windows laptops for more Ford specific stuff. Then I have a cheap super...

    Nitwits and their backup cameras

On 90 degree spots I’ll almost always back in. The company I work for has a huge fleet of delivery vehicles across 6000 stores and the company policy is to ALWAYS back in if it’s a 90 degree spot. That right there tells me it’s safer. But, as I have years of practice with it, it takes maybe 5...

MicroGard Select MSL10255 PG-made center tube contamination

Weird that you’re able to buy these on eBay. These are an O’Reilly house brand. I don’t know why someone would just have an extra case of these floating around they couldn’t just return and bothered paying the fees and cost of shipping to sell them on eBay. I’m not defending the filters I’m...

    Cybertruck RWD is out

I mean yeah 6s is fine that’s what my current vehicle does but it’s nothing special. Plenty of faster cars out there.

    Cybertruck RWD is out

This has been brought up in other threads but basically the wiring needs to be fat anyway for fast charging and the cooling system needs to be capable anyway so there is really minimal loss or expensive to have good performance.

What's wrong with this Canada Tire synthetic oil (it's being cleared out) ?

And they save money because there's no Dexos logo on the front. You have to pay per quart for that haha.

    Cybertruck RWD is out

Yeah, the traditional dealer model sucks. I was telling my coworker about the $1K down, $299/mo Model 3 lease deal (which I'd personally go for if I didn't already have the Prologue). I showed him how you set up a demo drive in the Tesla app and you can take the car and check it out without an...

    Cybertruck RWD is out

Why not go for Sierra EV? Silverado EV RST is about the same price and the GMC version not only looks better (in my opinion) but has a MUCH better interior (fact, not opinion). Now, Silverado EV does get cheaper in lower trims but if you're spending $75K what's another $10K and you get a way...

2025 so far EV sales up 28%

I wouldn’t buy an Ariya personally. Curious why you like it? Not hating, just genuinely curious why you’d pick that over other options in a crowded competitive segment. I do agree once you go EV you never want to go back lol. Every time I drive an ICE car I’m like this sucks!

1 Week Review - 2025 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid Limited

I have nothing against Toyota, I just helped my aunt buy a Prius, but this just isn’t true. Honda and Ford both do hybrids just as good. Ford learned how to do it from Toyota and while Hondas early system was janky the modern gen is very nice. And you know what hybrid system was still better...

    FSD/Tesla driving software

To those mentioning auto wipers and adaptive cruise. My Prologue is the first vehicle I’ve had with these features. Auto wipers is WONDERFUL. Adaptive cruise, well, it’s alright, but occasionally it brakes because of a vehicle in the lane next to me, not the lane I’m in. Then after braking for a...

Getting ready to bleed brakes. Do you shake the bottle of brake fluid?

I’m sure it got shaken plenty on its journey from where it’s made to your driveway or garage. Besides, like the other poster said, do you shake your car every morning to get the brakes ready? No, you don’t.

    Cybertruck RWD is out

I was really excited for this (not like I can afford one anyway I just wanted to see a more affordable one) but now that it’s out I’m not so sure. RWD is $70K and AWD is $80K. RWD does 0-60 in 6.2. On the surface, that’s fine. Sure it’s not as quick as other versions but it’s still about the...

    What to invest in?

Haha no although one day when I work from home, have my own house, I will get one.

Active housing inventory for sale is rising on a year-over-year basis in almost every state.

The house next door to ours was on the market for almost half a year. Things are definitely changing. It sold for just under a million lol. Guess not everyone can afford that. Not sure if I'll ever be able to buy a home :(

    Thoughts on Ford 2.0 Ecoboost

I have dated two guys with second gen Fusions and I did NOT find the back seats particularly spacious the few times I was back there. I don't know anything about kids or car seats but I'd go with an SUV personally. Maybe I just found the back seats tight because I am used to SUVs as that's what...
