    $60k Harley Davidson?!!

When you show me one of those on a police rodeo course, I’ll give it props.

    $60k Harley Davidson?!!

I’ve been riding since the 70’s. As you can see in my signature just between my two current bikes that I bought new I have close to 300k experience. Add in the other 5 bikes I’ve owned over the years and I’m close to 500k. Your turn big boy. You don’t have anything in your signature. I’d say...

However HD has dominated dirt track racing for many years https://www.topspeed.com/motorcycles/motorcycle-news/harley-davidson-xr750-the-bike-that-couldn-t-stop-winning/

    $60k Harley Davidson?!!

Again what do you call performance? How many Japanese motorcycles do you see competing in a police rodeo? None, zip, nada. That’s all about acceleration, braking, lean angle, and tight turning ability. No sport bike can do that. And like I said that has so much more to do with everyday riding...

    $60k Harley Davidson?!!

Police duty certainly tests a motorcycle under extreme conditions. Running a police rodeo course is definitely a measure of performance that the Gold Wing can’t compete in. If you have evidence otherwise, show us. If you think a rodeo is not a measure of maneuverability , braking, acceleration...

    $60k Harley Davidson?!!

You didn’t answer to any of the points I addressed pertaining to your comments. You mentioned performance, yet you can’t explain why there are no Gold Wings in police service or competing in police rodeo competitions? You mentioned HD getting more technically advanced because they had to, yet...

    $60k Harley Davidson?!!

I disagree. I’ve test ridden Gold Wings and my HD is way more comfortable for me. When my knees are jammed up against a fairing, that’s not comfortable. Not to mention the heat flowing off those radiators during a hot summer day. It’s no wonder I see more Gold Wings in spring and fall on the...

    $60k Harley Davidson?!!

One final note. This thread is about high priced impractical motorcycles. Many manufacturers are guilty of this. The childish comments about pirate outfits and such are out of place. Grow up and pick your fights in person instead of hiding behind the internet

    $60k Harley Davidson?!!

First of all I did not post anything about a 60k HD. That was the OP. Second, you’re going to tell me that the Rune, which Honda spent 225 MILLION dollars designing in 2003, and LOST over $100,000 per bike in 2003, would still be sold for 25k, 20 years later? 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Oh yes you’ve changed the...

    $60k Harley Davidson?!!

I didn’t compare the Rune to them all so I have no idea what your point is. The RUNE, in the context of THIS THREAD, is and was a high priced impractical motorcycle

    $60k Harley Davidson?!!

Typical argumentative deflection of the point at hand. You can’t defend the Honda Rune in any way so you change your argument. The whole point of my post was in response to this thread about high priced impractical motorcycles. And the Honda Rune is definitely exactly that. Imagine the sap who...

Another testament to how much money Honda lost making these bikes https://www.hagerty.com/media/motorcycles/the-motorcycle-that-honda-lost-millions-building/

    $60k Harley Davidson?!!

Hard to find? Did you watch the video? Honda didn’t make spare parts. Imagine being the sap who bought one of these :ROFLMAO:
