Motorcycle frame do it all grease

Exactly. I used it mostly where corrosion or plastic / rubber components were of concern. Great for ignition wires, boots, connectors, electrical plugs. I'm not sure what kind of grease he's looking for other than anti-corrosion so I don't think this is an EP application.

Beck-Arnley DC-1 (designed for VW Audi; G052182 spec on bottle) OK for a VW DSG(6spd/wet clutch)?

Agree'd. Unless you are going to court, the recommendation of long-standing companies like Valvoline, Red Line, Amsoil, etc are worth trusting in. DCT's are different from MT, AT and CVT but it's not that complicated. Keep the transmission CLEAN, keep your magnets CLEAN, and keep the fluid from...

20x1.5 - Help me find the best filter size & type for Nissan?

If you look at the application listing, the 7317 it's the OE size for applications like the Nissan GT-R (turbo v6) and Titan (v8) with output of around 400-600hp so I think it's able to handle a typical 4-cyl. Yes, I'd like a bigger, better filter but I am starting to think the 7317 format will...

If you don't mind the cost then stick with top-tier products from Red Line, Amsoil or HPL. You could also look into Motul.

Yes, it does look pretty tiny but it IS significantly bigger than the 6607 OE size. Yikes! Thank you for your insights and recommendations I'll look into those and hope to post a C&P comparison soon.

Here's a list of M20x1.5 (long) oil filters that are reasonably priced and easily available to me. Haven't scrounged ebay yet and there doesn't seem to be anything interesting on Amazon. Price - CDN, Tax & Ship on top 6.54 - Full 2ons001 (made in Thailand, 2010 Nissan GT-R) 6.57 - Baldwin...

20x1.5 - Help me find the best filter size & type for Nissan?

RA does ship to Canada but often it's not quite worth it. They are a great resource for part number reference and price comparison though. OE filter specs are great but if I can increase the oil and filter media capacity then I will. It's a cheap and easy upgrade if you can make it work. Plug...

Reasons NOT to use Kirkland 0w-20 or 5W-30 Synthetic...?

Amsoil 75W-85 EP Gear Lube and ULV ATF

I just question the quality /performanceof a "synthetic" gear oil that's below SAE 90 and can't pass for 70w. Aside from fuel efficiency, why go below SAE 90 if it's not for better extreme cold performance?

Yes I've got the 7317 on the short list and will price out Car Quest. More details to follow soon (too bad we can't keep the OP updated). Would like to keep the price $10 or less but who knows how the economy will turn.

I'm looking to stock 20x1.5 engine oil filters for Nissan Cube & Rogue that are a cut above but not $$$$. Spoiler, I'm in ON, Canada and the OE filters are too small in my opinion, we can do better. OE filters Nissan 15208-65F0E Fram PH6607 WIX 51358 I have a few filters to inspect from Full...

    Differential Oil Selection Confusion

I will quote myself, "viscosity is not that important until you hit the extremes (temperature / racing)" "75w85 should be slightly more efficient than 75w90 at the potential cost of wear"

    Differential Oil Selection Confusion

There is no risk in using 75w90. You are not in a "cold climate". If you can't get 75w90 for a reasonable price then I would use 75w85 but I would not use 75w85 to save money. Again, viscosity is not that important until you hit the extremes (temperature / racing). 75w85 should be slightly...
