Key Fob issue 2020 GMC Sierra 1500

Although I agree with your logic, you're applying it to a couple of 10 cent batteries that may have been manufactured during the early days of the pandemic? I'd spend the $3 for a couple of new batteries and try again. Try the cheap and easy wins first.

Third flat on the bicycle in 17,869 miles.

There are some indoor miles included that figure. About 20% of my miles are on a trainer. As much as I would prefer riding outside every day, it just isn't possible in Illinois...especially in December, January and February.

Since I started working from home, March 2020.

Change the engine air filter and then leave it alone?

I change my air filters every 30,000 miles. Other than that, I leave it alone. I don't even open it up to take a peek. My UOA's tell me that this schedule is working just fine for me.

Are these front gutter downspouts to standard?

This is nothing new, at least for me. I did this to a house that I built in 1996. All of the home's downspouts run to buried drain tile.

Seeing a theme premium oil cheap tires

Dad's girlfriend has a 2011 Town and Country that they keep around as a second vehicle. It has nearly 200,000 miles on it, and is worth about $2000. It needed a set of tires in the worst way, and they asked me for my opinion. There's a reason why Wal-Mart offers the lower priced "Douglas...

IIRC, mine is because of the steering rack.

    Mazda 2.3L oil change problem

Don't feel bad. My 1986 Mercury Cougar with the 5.0 has 2 different drain plugs for the oil pan.

    Wheeled String Trimmers

I've had one for several years, gas powered. Found on CL for $50. I suspect it might have been stolen, as the dude I bought it from didn't really seem to be the 'core audience' for such an item. Anyhow, I use it twice a year to clean the windbreak at the farm. These things will give you a...

Are John Deere branded lawn tractor batteries OK?

The JD LoVis HyGard is $6.XX a quart. I can get it for less at my dealer, if I bring my own container and buy it out of their 55 gallon drum (bulk discount).

Are John Deere branded lawn tractor batteries OK?

All 5 of my John Deere tractors have had one John Deere battery in them... the one that I bought them with. After that, it was either Fleet Farm or Rural King. The only maintenance item that I buy from JD is Lo-Vis HyGard, because it is reasonably priced for what it is. Everything else is a...

Third flat on the bicycle in 17,869 miles.

Honestly, I've had four flats/punctures... all on the rear tire. But one of them was discovered in the garage, and was only a slow leak. I don't count it because it didn't leave me "out on the road" and it was only losing about 10 pounds of air a day. It was the tiniest sliver of metal that...

Third flat on the bicycle in 17,869 miles.

I felt it was safer than a random stranger pulling off of the road and offering me a ride. At least it would be documented on my phone as to who Lyft sent to get me home.... name, vehicle description, and license plate number. I did joke with the driver about getting into a vehicle with a...

Third flat on the bicycle in 17,869 miles.

Yesterday, I had my third (bicycle) flat tire out on the road, in 17,869 miles. It was a drywall screw, and the tire was flat (700x25)in about a half a second. I live on the edge of town, and I was a little over 3 miles from home. I was finishing up on what would have been a 16 mile ride...

Tux rental "Please treat this as if it is yours..."

I had to rent a tuxedo (gag) and I found it humorous that on the paperwork, it was printed: "Please treat this tuxedo as if it were yours..." I pointed to that on the paperwork, and told the lady who had just handed it over to me... "No ma'am.... you want ME to treat it like it is YOURS"...

    Model T value?

Next door neighbor has a '28 model A roadster pickup (a soft top/convertible). He says there is only one part that is not available in the aftermarket for the A, and that is the original style gas tank. It isn't made for liability reasons, because it is mounted to the firewall, between the...
