    Mixing differnt brands of 0w20?

Congrats on the good deals. FWIW---IMO--- it's just not worth it to mix brands/weights on purpose--even if the oil was free--which it almost is, in this case Steve

Are Supertech oil and filters reliable?

IMO ST oil is as good as any other mid-level-conventional, in other words, I'd use it. My recent experience with their FILTERS on the other hand, wasn't good. I was going to wait till I learn to post pictures here, but for now, I can tell you the media on a used (100miles)ST oil filter was as...

New to me 1994 Buick Park Avenue

OP-all suggestions here are really good ones. I would get new tires as well, but if you insist on running on these old ones do us a favor---take a good look at the inside/backside of the tires--for cracking & bubbles. If you don't have a full size spare tire, I'd get a 20 dollar used rim & mount...

MoS2 in SHU 5W40 for racing application

I would run it with confidence--I've seen it work miracles on Chevy V-8s with lifter tick, when all else has failed IMO & experience, you will see the most benefit from engines with over 60 K miles--putting it in a newer engine = no observed benefit I use it in all my OPE as well Steve

Looking for a good American made battery.

Exide....ugh... the kiss of death as far as batteries are concerned. My last Duralast (AZ) went almost 7 years, but when pricing a replacement, WalMart had AZ & AAP beat by a longshot--even with AAP % off. Turns out Duralast & WalMart batteries are made by JC, so in the end, prolly the same...

Opinion on Oil Choice for 2004 Tahoe 5.3

Very lucky with the 3.73----we had that one on a previous Tahoe--IIRC it spun around 2K rpm at 70 instead of the 2250 with the 4.11 We only get around 16 mpg hwy. Steve
