    I would say the oil did an outstanding job. I would add the oil heald up and did its claimed job, the numbers aren't bad considering most of the uoa postings are on oil changes that are usually too soon . I read the UP TO in the sentence meaning both miles and time [1 year]

    I would change the oil and filter after the 20 min run in or soon after. I am not sure of the need for syn oil on that engine. The rings will seat just fine with the syn oils on the market . The syn arent much different in that respect as compared to todays dino oils.

    As mentioned the special oil is for steady state low rpm use which is large industrial engines. Use HDEO oil, that is all that is needed.
