Not complaining, just worried that FB found more corners to cut!

FRAM XG12060 end cap stamping flash/burr

Can’t help thinking these filters are “seconds” with visible defects, that should have been scrapped & weren’t supposed to be sold. That’s why there’s no date code. Hard to believe even First Brands would have let those out!

From Realtor dot com--Is a Housing Correction or Crash Ahead? See Where Home Prices Are Poised To Fall Next

I still think there’s a bubble, a LOT of people overpaid, and now with much higher interest rates, there’s going to people who can’t afford what they’ve bought…

Best high mileage oil for leaks

If a combination of ATP AT-205 & Valvoline MaxLife red bottle doesn’t help slow it down, then nothing will!

Where do the carbon deposits go after they are cleaned by top tier gas?

Like an Italian tuneup-into a blackish-green cloud of smoke. (And into the oil too).

    Carquest Filters

The HD suffix ones may be Baldwin made, I have a couple in the stash (85060HDs). Those would be made in the USA, with a black ADBV (probably nitrile).

    11,000 mile Fram FE10575 C&P

Wouldn't want to bet on that... Sorry, responded too soon. May be the slightly thinner Endurance (as compared to OG Ultra/Titanium) media just makes it look non-wire backed. It did hold up well.

I just got this amazing deal! (38.64$ shipped for 18 quarts)

What are the odds it's only 1 quart, considering the description is different than all the other viscosities? I would say 1-1000, minimum...

It’ll be interesting to see if it has wire backing or not, it doesn’t look like it does. Held up OK, though.

High Performance Lubricants 4th of July Sale

Pay for postage at home through stamps.com , stuff it in the mail slot! Done! I'll be in for 1 gallon (or 4 quarts) of HPL EC 30, been wanting to try it.

    Mighty T4612 C&P

Looks like MX Wix, maybe even Silver/Pro-Tec level. Any Premium Guard could outdo that.

    4 New Filters Cut Open

Sorry to hear about the Donaldsons, I would’ve expected better from them, especially considering how much they cost.

    Talk me out of this......

Slower than most other trucks; simple, fairly reliable, but prone to head gasket failure and cracks literally anywhere in the engine-block, crank, & heads. Capable of decent MPG, but not with 4.56s & no O/D. I’ve had 2 6.2s, and only the ‘82 red blocks & ‘92-‘93 599 blocks seem to hold up well...

    New HVAC and dimming lights

Sounds like a baby brownout, the compressor is drawing a lot of amperage to start. Not necessarily harmful, as long as anything electronic isn’t bothered by the momentary voltage drop.

2014 Challenger long term review: Absolutely terrible.

Is that Challenger's Pentastar the 3.6 VVT? The one on our company's spare '12 Grand Caravan has 200K miles of abuse on it, actually runs pretty fast (for a minivan, low bar) & seems capable of 20-22 MPG when babies. Something is wrong with that Challenger, it shouldn't be THAT bad!

Mobil 1 M1-301A used as transmission filter

The Baldwin B2-HPG & -MPG filters are actually rated for hydraulic oil use-that's what I would use.

    Hummer spotted in dealer showroom

Guessing Hummer EV? They're really heavy, unloaded, over 9000 pounds curb weight-10 plys would be needed to carry anything in it. An average 1 ton SRW pickup is usually 7K-ish.

Oil consumption After Premium Blue Restore

Thought MMO was light & boil-off prone? I've never been crazy enough to use it, except as a diesel fuel additive.

    Warranty question ( odd)

Sounds it’s time for (2) fried chickens! Or get used to a lot more chicks running around…
