Any car owners with bypass and huge mileage?

I only have 285,500 so far on the 4.3L chevy and have the Amsoil dual-remote setup. I change the Eao15 at 16K and the Ea015 and BP90 at 32K when I change the oil also. Oil reports look great and engine is dry. Am I saving tons of money? probably not but I drive 3K/month and I like doing my oil...

    2003 S-10 4.3 v-6 Amsoil SSO 0W-30 32,796 Miles

My Last S-10 (1992- 4.3) I traded in with 323K on the odometer. I only traded it in because Chevy quit making them so I bought the last one! The engine was still leakless and even had the original a/c compressor! The 2003 has been just as good as I have 208K and only replaced the spark...

Wow guys I didn't mean to start a discussion on M1 vs Amsoil (or any other oil for that matter) only to show you that 32K oil changes (or 40K in my case) CAN BE DONE! it is also to show the 3K oci guys that they need to stop wasting there money for that "feel good" feeling after throwing away...

    2003 S-10 4.3 v-6 Amsoil SSO 0W-30 32,796 Miles

After changing the intake gaskets (Fel-Pro not GM) I bought some Amsoil (Propylene Glycol) instead of the DexCool route. I heard if I had another intake leak that PG is easier in the bearings then EG (Ethylene Glycol). I also have to question: Is that where my Sodium/Silicon (27/34)is coming...

    2003 S-10 4.3 v-6 Amsoil SSO 0W-30 32,796 Miles

Hey guys - Thanks for all the replies. let me clear a few things up: I did change my oil at 107K (18,750 on oil) and at 129K (had 22K on oil) and 153K (had 24K on oil) and at 173K (no report). It has not been replaced since so at 198K (25K on the oil) and 206K (32K on the oil) the oil was NOT...

Hey guys I am tring to see how far this stuff will go with my Dual Remote Bypass filter setup and Amsoil's best. When looking at the report I changed my oil at 6K, 18K, 22K and 24K. My 25K and 32K the oil was not changed and is still in the pan (34K now). My only concern is the rising sodium (my...

    Chevy S-10 4.3L Amsoil S3000 5W-30 24,279 miles

I have decided that the Amsoil thickening is mo big deal. The wear would be better if it did not thicken?? My MPG's hang around 21.5 to 23.0 depending on how many times I hit the highway, so no adverse affect on MPG's w/the thicker oil. I have replaced the air filter at the beginning of this run...

    Chevy S-10 4.3L Amsoil S3000 5W-30 24,279 miles

This oil is working great for me. I am using the Amsoil Dual Remote oil filtration system with the Eao26 and BE100. As you can see by the oil report I had the 4.3 intake gasket problem but has been resolved as the sodium and potassium have come down. (This oil report was the only way I could...

    Amsoil S3000 5W-30 22,022 miles 2003Chevrolet s-10

Please help me understand the disadvantage of the increase in the viscosity? This oil showed NO Wear difference between the 18K and 22K Oil analysis! It appears (to this untrained eye) that this oil is broken in and doing quite well. I noticed no difference in oil pressure after an oil change or...

    Amsoil S3000 5W-30 22,022 miles 2003Chevrolet s-10

Just to keep the info accurate - I just checked my receipts and I had the intake gaskets replaced @96K (after the 08/20/06 oil analysis) So the gaskets were replace more like 40K ago. The K dropped significantly and I was left with the Silicon high. Also my sump capacity is like 7 quarts (The...

    Amsoil S3000 5W-30 22,022 miles 2003Chevrolet s-10

[/img] I obviously like to run Amsoil like it is supposed to be run. I am pleased with the results. I am using the Amsoil dual remote oil filtration system (BE100 + Eao26) I did have the intake gaskets replaced 20K ago. (hence the Potassium a while back) My only imperfection seems to be the...

    Amsoil Series 3000, 18,750 Miles, Chevy S-10 4.3L

Sorry about the poor post, I am new. Notice the high Potassium and Sodium. This 4.3L needed a set of intake gaskets (of course) I started with Amsoil Series 2000 and moved up to the Series 3000 at 68K. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Al Potassium = 0. I agree, I am tempted on running my next OCI to 7,500 miles and testing again. Michael
