My 2019 Arteon has an under hood sticker specifying both 504 and 0w-30. I use the VW branded oil from FCP Euro which is the same as Mobil 1 ESP, so lifetime oil changes.

Getting parts from the same warehouse is much cheaper than having multiple warehouses, but adding more items from the same one still can increase the shipping cost.

I have some of these exact ones from work that I use at home. Really like them for occasional use

I just rebuilt the engine on my Capri and am going to use one of the Gibbs Driven oils for street cars. They have a mineral based 10w-40 with zinc that looks good.

The other factor is that FCP Euro has free shipping on orders over $49 and Rock Auto seems to charge top price for shipping some items. I agree for some items it wouldn't make sense, but for things like brakes, wipers, spark plugs, oil, air and cabin filters it does.

That can happen. While prices generally go up and not down, the converse is also true. If a price goes down, you get credit for the original (higher) price. I had that happen before. I just sent back a pair of front brake rotors. Paid $56 each a few years ago and they are now $63 ea. Cost me...

I keep my Volkswagens 12 plus years, so it's a no brainer for me to buy from them. I return everything I can including oil, filters, brakes, spark plugs etc. Just shipped back a pair of brake rotors this week. Got a $110 credit and cost me $26 to ship back.

You posted a list of GL4 oils and I just reminded you of one readily available that you did not have on there. I specifically wanted a mineral based GL-4 oil and thought others with older vehicles may need that as well. I doubt a 50 year Ford, that sold over a million, uses a unique oil that is...

Jegs has one flat fee for shipping and handling regardless of what is ordered, if you are under the free shipping threshold. Same as Summit. If you only need one smaller item it does kind of suck.
