    Anyone still into MLB?

Glad to see MLB in action again, now that my Calgary Flames are out of playoffs. Being in Canada, Toronto Blue Jays are my team to root for and then several west coast teams like Mariners, Dodgers, and Giants. Have been to watch games in Seattle, LA, Anaheim, SF, Oakland, and SD so far during...

How should I grease ATE brakes on a Mazda

I used Sil-glyde on my daughter's 2012 Mazda 3 and after a couple of years, no issue with brakes. I just bought a tub of Mission silicone grease so I will use that on all my future brake work on pins.

How is the weather in your home town??

-37C = -35F this morning at sunrise. At least, it's dry cold. I miss Cuban weather a month ago.

    An EV I would buy

Something like this would be what I'd buy, importing from Japan. Honda Fit with 1.3L engine and only 8000km. Great mileage, lots of room, low miles, and rust-free. https://b-pro.ca/car/2006-honda-fit-1-3w-8022-km/

I lost one of my patients due to Covid-complicated pneumonia recently at work so Covid is still around and taking toll on those unsuspecting. Working in healthcare field, life went on as usual for my wife and I. No opportunity to work remotely and we had to be at work hands on. When the Covid...

When do you install your winter tires?

Around mid-October, close to Canadian Thanksgiving. Doing changes to 4 vehicles so I need to stagger timing for my aging body. Usually able to swap them out in an hour or less per car, unless I spot anything unusual during brake/suspension inspection while the wheels are off. Mid to late April...

Thread for photos that 100% do not violate any Terms Of Service, not political, not too lewd, no gas price pics etc.

Took a drive to the mountains for a short hike yesterday. Not as much snow as expected for November in Canada. Hwy 1 going east in Banff N.P.

    SHELL stations of the future.

$8 more than me. But then I don't even carry a wallet anymore. I just bring my cellphone, one credit card and driver's license attached to the phone for last 4 years whenever going out.

    Post your latest oil change

Pretty much so. Too many open bottles to use up and TL doesn't mind mixture of different grades of brew.

Most reliable 10 year-old car that isn’t a Toyota or Honda?

My kids currently drive 11 year old Mazda 3 and 15 year old Ford Focus (Ford shares some parts with Mazda, I think?). Easy to work on and reliable enough with regular maintenance, unlike my experience with VW Jetta.

Do we have any pharmacists here? Why does it take so long?

I can fill your prescription right away or fill right. Your pick. I contemplated being a mechanic or be in healthcare profession while in high school. I graduated from pharmacy school 30 years ago (have both parents and older sister who were/are pharmacists...no family influence there) and...

Why I still get the newspaper delivered.

I just grab a handful of flyers in grocery store, if I need any papers for garage use. Subscribed to newspaper for 20+ years, but papers have been getting thinner and thinner over the years with less meaningful contents and more ads.
