Frisco, the CRV's rad fan will only kick on at 105 C. Your temps are normal for winter....I seldomly see grater that. 82c when it's below freezing. In the summer, it should oscillate between 97c and 105c when idling.
How much has you fuel mileage been affected percentage wise? The CRV will definetly give you a CEL when the upstream 02 sensor needs changing. As it did on my 03. In my case there was no noticeable fuel economy difference before and after I changed out the 02 sensor.
I used to suffer like that. Now I use a zip lock bag placed around the filter while unscrewing it. No more drip. I'm glad to see the new filter location is a lot easier to access.
I've notice that honda/acura seem to be using the oval H11 type fog lights on most of their vehicles. They produce a very good useful beam and the H11 bulb is super long lasting. My point is they should be plentiful in scrap yards.
Check out this well written DIY post for lens repair froma...

I use those too and they are the best! Gotta Love Lee Valey.
I experienced the galling exhaust cam issue in my 2003 crv. It had nothing to do with 5w20 as I ran M1 5w30 since the first oil change. I beleive that inadequate surface hardening or the fact tha Honda recommend valve clearance inspection at 100k could be the cause. I feel it should be done...

For a Bandit 1200 air and oil cooled inline 4 motor.
I was just wondering how much a 3cst difference in viscosity at operating temp would affect the oil flow rate and heat transfer.
I normally use Motul 5100 10W40 but lately traffic due to construction in summer is ridiculous here in Montreal...
Are you in or near Montreal? Moto international (BMW-Harley dealer) on St-Jaques has the best price for 4 liter jugs of Motul 5100 semi synthetic. Last summer they where charging $29.99 per 4 liter jug same price as shell rotella. They have 10w40 and 15w50. Motul 5100 has got to be the best...

I wonder if the Honda PCX-004 filter would void the warranty?
How did you find out about the ADBV...
If it was my vehicle, I would run M1 0w20 for the winter and Toyota 0w-20 the rest of the year. I get a quite a few -20 C starts during winter. If it wasn't the case, I'd use Toyota all year round it costs me $28 and change for a 5L jug in Canada where M1 is $47 for a 4.4L jug.
