Getting a slightly used MDX Type S. It has a turbo V6. Honda recommends 5w20 not doubt in part for mileage. Am I better off running 5w30? Or even 0w30 for winter climate use? I read somewhere on here about wanting slightly thicker oil for turbo longevity. Thanks!

I do in my air cooled Porsche. I'm a little hesitant for the newer type engines. Just read a lengthy thread about someone junking their engine due to LSPI.

So I just bought this car and it came with some used oil analysis. Mobil 1 0w40 was used. I am thinking of switching to Mobil 1 0W40 Euro, the SP rated one. Or just LM Leichtlauf 0w40, also SP rated. Probably go for the Mobil as it's available local. My other cars all run Rotella T6 5W40, I...
