You know, the car in reference from the original post is a 2013 Mustang GT. I post heavily in Mustang forums, which makes it easy to state this as fact.
Not once, and I mean once, have I read one case of any Ford dealership denying an engine warranty for the owner's engine lubricant choice. Not...

So little difference could be the zinc coating on the base plate of the Amsoil filter. RP doesn't have that option.
I work for a chemical, carpet fiber, nylon polymer manufacturing facility, so we have precision measuring equipment in all of the labs. This one was located in Quality Control. Using the scale, you can clearly see the Amsoil Ea017 weighs almost 7 grams more than the Royal Purple 20-500.

You weighed an Amsoil Ea017 and a Royal Purple 20-500, correct?
I ask because they feel exactly the same to me, and I have both.

Reviving an older thread.
With the release of the 2013 GT500, Ford now specs a 75W-90 full synthetic lubricant in the rear differential, despite if it has the performance package or not.
The standard package includes a clutch pack type differential with no external oil cooler. 2 quart...

Too many people never took the initiative to learn what is required for car maintenance. They take either a "Someone can be paid to do it for me" or "What do you mean I have to change the oil?" stance.

I challenge you....
show me something that even comes close in your "petroleum" world.
Besides, I have no interest battling an admin on BITOG about big oil versus the "little guy" blender.
Good day to you sir...
No, just have been proving that Amsoil is kicking dino and hydrocracked petroleum's butt in Ford modular engines for the past few years, and it's funny. I have the evidence to prove it, not just talk on a forum.
