    xW-40 vs xW-30 for Mercedes V6 M272?

You are ok with a thinner but still robust oil as long as you aren't taking it onto the track. But that engine is so old school you're probably good to go with Rotella or Delo. Anyway check Motul for their 5w40. https://www.motul.com/en-US/products/17920?id=17920&product=MOTUL+8100+X-MAX+0W-40

Using Porsche C30 instead of C20 in the EA839 engine

That is a superb oil, go right ahead especially with no GPF stick to those older spec vw502 / a40 oils.

Using Porsche C30 instead of C20 in the EA839 engine

I think they're like "we are using 0w20 and 0w30 for all our other cars, we don't want to make our dealerships carry inventory of a barrel of 0w40 511 oil just for the very few v8 cars they'll get for service". So more a supply chain cost cutting measure to standardize on one or maybe two oils...

Using Porsche C30 instead of C20 in the EA839 engine

Yup IF you can get a VW511 in the USA (Ravenol RUP and Mobil1 ESP X4 seem to be it) then go right ahead and use that. Funny thing is Audi has a Porsche designed V8 engine and they spec 504 / 0w30 in theirs instead of 511. Porsche stops with speccing C30 on the Cayenne V6, they don't spec it for...

    Eneos 0w-20

By the way, Aliexpress' search engine optimisation seems to have quite an interesting use case for Eneos

    Eneos 0w-20

Then it is grossly overpriced as an import and feel free to avoid it. Eneos is sold at like 50-55% of the cost of Edge or similar in India.

    Renault rn720 - switching to 5w-40

Go ahead use the 5w30 C3 and change it every 7500 km or so. You should be good. Or get a 5w40 C3 no shortage of those (Castrol Edge for instance).

    Coconut oil, low HTHS

Coconut oil is somewhat of a universal lube in south India (where there are a lot of coconut palms all along a very long coastline, so..) for such applications, or to lube a squeaky door hinge, that sort of thing. The weather out here is tropical hot (texas gulf coast / florida weather) so it...

    Eneos 0w-20

It is a decent price and decent quality oil and an OEM for multiple Japanese and Korean brands. But that's just what it is, a reasonable performer at a reasonable price. Don't expect Amsoil HPL Mobil1 ESP Castrol Edge level performance or other miracles.

Using Porsche C30 instead of C20 in the EA839 engine

Drive a porsche like a porsche and you're good with C40. Drive it like a church lady to costco and back and you're good with C20. C30 is a reasonable compromise between the two.

Rotella T6 MV 5w-30 for all my vehicles?

A lot of the oils I've seen just don't care to state other approvals than CK4, and they are available on the Ford site :) All CJ4 works fine for wss-m2c-171f1, only some CK4s (those with phos > 1000 ppm if I remember right). However most if not all straight / non dual rated CK4s have no...

Rotella T6 MV 5w-30 for all my vehicles?

Missed that it is a Ford. They need plain CK4 not dual rated ones. Here's a list of HDEOs approved for Ford. https://parts.ford.com/content/dam/ford-parts/resources/motorcraftpdf/Diesel_Motor_Oils_Meeting_Ford_WSSM2c171F1.pdf

    MITSUBISHI Pajero 4M41 3.2 Litre Turbo Diesel (|Non DPF A3 B4 / C3 ? ) Australia

So what you do is get a CI4+ or CK4 or basically anything above API CF. Standard HDEO truck engine oil that you can buy by the bucket for next to nothing. Your Paj will thrive on it, and all those API C* specs are backwards compatible with API CF.

    MITSUBISHI Pajero 4M41 3.2 Litre Turbo Diesel (|Non DPF A3 B4 / C3 ? ) Australia

If you have an older petrol engine without any LSPI or particulate filter concerns, or an old diesel engine, high mileage, and that too in hot weather like Australia, just run a CK4 (hell, why CK4, just get good old CI4+ if there are stocks, they mostly come dual rated SN) HDEO, or a 10w40 /...

Rotella T6 MV 5w-30 for all my vehicles?

Yeah about the Hyundais if you'll check what they spec in Asia it was 5w40 all the way till they moved to 20 weight oils in 90+ F weather tropical countries. There should be a weight / temperature chart in your manual that'll tell you anything goes, even 10w40 or in some older cars, 20w50, in...
