thanks for this info. sometimes i don't think about these external factors as well.
Fuel: Shell 87, Mobil 87 or Chevron 87 only
Driving Style: mostly city, i do have a lead foot. this truck idles a lot. (over 2 hours daily of idling M-F *morning and afternoon*). while waiting for my kiddos at...
the 10W-20 seems like a reasonable choice.
i went with the 5W-30 based off the HTHS. idk i guess i'll sleep better at night.
currently have euro no vii 10W30 in the sump. will be trying mobil 1 0W-40 after the 10W30 and test also.
yeah i also have a stash of the champ labs made RP. they are identical to the TRD. i believe they make the Amsoil oil filters for the 4Runner as well.
how are you enjoying your 4Runner so far?
i'll keep my eyes open to see when you post your report. OA will prob flag the oxidation on your report due to the high POE. but we know this is nothing to worry about.
😅 "isn't tar, calm down..."
i want to thank you again for the recommendation a few months back, on the Transfercase fluid. i am running the Amsoil you recommended: the Manual Synchromesh Transmission 5W-30 fluid, instead of the extremely hard to find and justify, Unicorn 75W Toyota fluid.
thanks for the feedback.
i love this truck. she drives like a tank. the fact that their are so many after market parts, has my pockets taking a hit. lol
